Review: All we know about Deezguyz is that he/she/they are based in Bristol - and that this four-track EP, his/her/their debut release, is well worth checking out by all lovers of Da Funk. The instrumental 'Chocolate Lasagna' is a housed-up take on squelchy, Zapp-esque funk/boogie, while 'U Got Me' offers up a more authentically 80s-sounding pastiche of the same sound. 'Celestial Steve' will have you too busy shaking your rump to worry about whether you're calling it funk, house or boogie, while completing the EP is the slightly mellower 'Wow!', which augments those trademark 80s synths with rap vocal snips.
