Review: Helsinki's Desto has been releasing tunes for coming up to 10 years, but we've never had a long player from him...until now that is. "Emptier Streets" features 12 tracks that mine an evocative slow motion field. Highlights include the gentle, synth swathed "Dislocated", the Salem-esque dark trap of the title track, the beatless and cinematic "Drainpipe" and the sublime closer "Healing".
Review: As one of the first labels to springboard off of the creative potential of dubstep, Ramp has hit release number 50 and what better way to celebrate than by looking back over some of the strongest tracks they've put out in six years. In terms of style, no one track is easy to pinpoint let alone the whole compilation, as you would expect from the likes of Zomby, 2562, Ras G, Doc Daneeka and lots more. The unifying theme would be one of bright, colourful but most importantly imaginative electronic that favours the bump n grind to the all out stomp.

Review: Danish producer Desto has released gems on Ramp and had the support of Blackdown and Oneman in the UK. He's bound to gain more plaudits off the back of this latest release on Fadersport, with "Element" fusing bass styles with a more poppy vocal melody and a mean acid roll to the drums. Hamburg producers Talstrasse 3-5 add a bubbling electro wash to their mix, which recalls recent smashers on Discobelle and Trouble & Bass.
