Review: The Future Disco crew has thrown open the doors to their imaginary 'Mirrorball Motel', a roadside hotel for disco misfits that's far more glamorous than it is sleazy (unlike most real-life motels). The 20-track musical accompaniment takes disco, boogie and nu-disco and bends it into fresh new shapes, with plenty of excitable house grooves and funk-fuelled peak-time workouts. Highlights include, but are in no way limited to, the Reflex's squelchy rework of Roisin Murphy's 'Incapable', the hands-in-the-air rush of Saison's 'Rocinate', a fine neo-Italo throb-job from Breakbot & Yuksek ('Taqa'), the glassy-eyed Balearic disco/deep house fusion of Bondax ('Don't Want It') and the yacht disco-influenced sunshine of 'Strangers' by Kosmo Kint and Kapote.

Review: Riding a wave of Zdarlight since 2005, legendary contemporary electro act Digitalism make their way from the annals of French label Kitsune to Gerd Janson's equally influential Running Back! With Gerd himself remixing the duo's "Destination Breakdown" back in 2016, he invites Digitalism to his label for five of the freshest tracks we've heard from the project in years. Still harking back to the wonder years of that French electro sound, Digitalism returns with a new selection of melodic, inspired and colourful electro numbers: you pick the hit. Tracks like "Promises" bring back memories of Kavinsky's golden days (now commonly associated with the movie Drive) while there's dubby, colourful and techno beats in "Flash Forward". "Visuals" sees the pair dial up a vocal, piano-laced electro ballad, with good times to be had in "Reality 2". And for some refined EDM flavours without the overhaul look to "Trans Global Ltd".

Review: Reviewed is Suol's new digital-only compilation series, and has apparently been designed to showcase the tracks and remixes of some of the label's most productive artists. This first volume focuses on the prolific Chopstick & Johnjon, gathering together 14 career highlights and a non-stop DJ mix of the same material. Predictably, there's much to enjoy, from the darting Latin pianos, soulful vocals, slab bass and jumpy beats of the duo's "rediscovered" remix of Siri Svegler's "Silent Viewer", to the trippy, bass-heavy hypnotism of "A New Dub", a fine collaboration with old pal Fritz Kalkbrenner. Other highlights include the stomping blues-house voodoo of "Listen", the woozy, late night deep house dreaminess of "Birds", and the melodious, riff-heavy hustle of "Rebound".

Review: Seven - yes, seven! - years after Digitalism created dancefloor tidalwaves with their star-struck, glitterball original, Fedde Le Grand and Deniz Koyu give it a ruthless electro overhaul with terrific results. Opening with an uncompromising build, this is made with the most creative DJs in mind. And with their main abrasive riff making no reference to the original, the main drop comes from absolutely nowhere. A tighter, more exciting contemporisation of Digitalism you will not find. Ridiculously massive.
