Review: Long live team Alpha Pup, an excellently organised project that have moved onto the third edition of their epic '20/20' compilation series, exploring the most lethal reaches of underground bass music. Featuring hard hitting originals from the likes of Ivy Lab, Dismantle, Rocks FOE, Bakey and more, it's clear that the team have gone all out on this collection, with sounds ranging as wide as the hardcore inspired mysticism of 'Naananaana' from Rohaan, to the industrial techno-flavours of Ila Brugal's 'Cynical'. The whole project packs a punch, but our highlights would have to include both the intense metallic madness of Deft's 'OKURTHEEXPERT', alongside Manni Dee's monstrous 'Wet Slide' creation. Top work all around!

Review: After a brief hiatus, we are thrilled to see the return of the one and only Dismantle, one of the most unique producers to emerge from the UK in the last decade, who here unleashes a tidy pair of breaksy monsters. We open up with 'Street Knowledge', a euphoric slalom through intricate rhythmic pockets, system-busting sub pulses and groovy moog melodies, all fusing together to give us a very enjoyable original indeed. On the flip-side to this, we take in something a little bit different as the more enigmatic arrangement ideas of 'Ghost Stations' are pushed forward, focussing on unusual delay effects and more potent sub work. This is quite a departure from the usual zone in which we would expect to see Dismantle operating, but boy is it effective!

Review: What a fantastic way to launch a new imprint as Dismantle touches down on Stations for a dazzling display of dancefloor flare, delivering three hard hitting rollers for the world to enjoy. We open up with the gnarly bass curls and reesey overhauls of 'Lowdown', a serious system smasher, perfect for injecting that additional dash of energy to the dance. Next, 'Hammertime', a classic sounding dismantle roller, jam-packed with siren-like leads and pumping, kuduro-style drum inflections for good measure. Finally, 'Dusty Heights' gives us another fabulous helping of heat, showing off just how clean his drum production can be with a sizzling bassy showdown to round things off.

Review: It's always an exciting thing to see legends of the game drop new music, which is exactly why this brand new single from the immortalized My Nu Leng alongside Dismantle is such an intriguing one. Both known for their energetic and precise approach to electronic dance music, the pair combine with some real party starting power on 'The Flight' firstly, combining old school bassline warbles with lively drum work to kick us off in style. Next, we jump into two previously released singles, with 'Ascendance' alongside Flava D providing some spacey dancefloor flavour and the techy synth work of 'Crystal Clear' adding something very spicy indeed. Awesome work!

Review: Things are going to get hot! Saucepots Die and Dismantle return to the taps and let "The Juice" flow once again... As with everything they've blessed us with in the past, each cut is a fizzy melting pot of everything that pops and bumps in system culture. "The Papers" is a turbo dancehall piece driven by a militant steppy drive and precision samples. "Harder They Come" sees them reconnecting with Redders for a vicious necksnap funk up while "One Day" strips things back for a slinky finale bubbler than rolls with a nice acid house style bassline charm.

Review: With releases by the likes of Toolroom under his belt, Brighton's Dismantle is fully established now. Whatever traces of dubstep there were in his early tunes, its all about the big room house now, and with his ability to craft epics in that style, who can blame him? Here we get a quick two-track reminder that he's still here and coming for those summer seasons. "Huntsman" is a monster that you'll be hearing everywhere soon: all punishing bass hums, Latin percussion and one huge build up. "Any Key" meanwhile, is a crazy military drum meltdown, guaranteed to make 'em dizzy.

Review: Brighton's Dismantle has gotten the attention of big dubstep DJ's and producers over the last few years, and he continues his impressive line of form with a new EP for T-Power's Digital Soundboy. He's brought four tracks fo pure bass aling with him; "If Not" is a tune without genre but it's certainly one which crosses the wires and mashes up house, bashment and more; "Minnion" breaks the tempo down and comes out with a stumbled groove and one hell of a percussive hook; title track "Stranded" is an unexpected carnival monster, a hybrid tune with a heavy low-end, bumpy percussion and racket and those inimitable Brazilian melodies.

Review: Brighton-based Dismantle is very much a man on the rise, following a string of much-played releases on Wheel & Deal, Black Gold and Shy FX and T-Power's Digital Soundboy imprint. Here he returns to the latter with another three-track onslaught of carnival-friendly bass bangers. Predictably, there's much to enjoy, from the bustling UK funky rhythms, delay-laden vocals and undulating melodies of "Round & Round", to the screaming electro riffs and bass rave shuffle of "D Riddim". Best of all, though, is the siren-clad, handclap-propelled techno-meets-slowed-down-juke onslaught of the rather large "Bad Guy".

With exclusives such as V.I.V.E.K's "Barcelona" and Killawatt's "Single Entity" thrown in for good measure, this isn't just a summary of today's dubstep; it's a slice of the future too.

Review: Encapsulated carnage from the Gangoon Dubz head honcho as he steps up to the controls at Wheel & Deal. As the title suggests, "Destroy" is a bonafide head twister that wallops away on a dancehall rhythm, weaving and bobbing with sprightly high-end squeals and sneezes. Further on in the release we find the long-awaited VIP mix of "Computation". With more 8-bit blasts than a ZX Spectrum orgy, this doesn't let up for one second. Best used as a gear-shift in a dubstep set, or played deep in the mix of something more eclectic and tropical, both cuts on offer here kick royal booty. Get destructive!

Review: Following a great run of house/dubstep bangers that have seen big love from Skream, Benga, Toddla T, Redlight and more, UK producer Dismantle effortlessly kills it with these two new tracks on Wheel & Deal. "Computation" is a pacey, upfront bass classic in the making, with retro synth shots riding a Dutch-style beat, while "Word Dance" carries on in the same vein with some slowly rising, pitch-shifted vocals over a Buraka Som Sistema-style beat. Anyone feeling Crookers latest Dr.Gonzo output will definitely want to get hold of this pronto.
