Review: In 2021, Hamburg-based DJ/producer Doctor Dru released Trip To Bianya on Ya Hala Ya Hala Records, an environment of creation founded by Eiad Sayegh aka Bambook. The album was said to be 'laid out with the mindset of an upcoming journey to a spirit-opening destination'. Now we have the first part of a remix package which features two versions of the chosen track "Setting Of The Sun". Rina & Benji's remix is an exotic indie-dance acid jack of 303 persuasion, while Argentinian DJ/producer Balam's tripped-out and chugging makeover features one massive bassline.

Review: Birthed in the middle of Hamburg's infamous red light district aka the Reeperbahn, Hamburg's JEUDI Records claim that they're "spreading love with a passion for high quality house, deep house and tech house tunes to everyone who can feel it." With recent releases by the likes of Deo & Z-Man, Sidney Charles and D-Nox & Beckers, we're certainly feeling it too! This time it's over to local lad Doctor Dru who is by now a staple of the label; this actually marks his fourth release for them. On the Savannah EP he starts off in fine form with the title track; a dark and moody journey track that is equal parts adrenaline and suspense.. and that arpeggio wowe! If that wasn't intense enough, second offering "Praerie" goes for even greater sense of dancefloor drama with its dark strings and wonky synth leads keeping time with a relentless beat and some latin drums atop for good measure: prepare to enter the exotic!
