Review: Deeper warehouse industrial techno and rhythm tracks from Spanish techno producer Dosem. Weighing in somewhere between the middle and heavier scales of techno, all the while navigating a shifting zone of atmospherics and melody, kick drums vary from subby and deep in "Evidence" to stripped back and solid in "Instead". For a rougher side of Dosem's sound it's tracks like "Restart This" - with its pulsating bassline - and EP highlight "Badgood" that also blend and form into synthy walls of groovy sound.
Review: More deep techno from Girona, Spain's Marc Dosem following up some great remixes for the likes Robert Babicz, Victor Simonelli and Chus & Ceballos. Here he proudly inaugurates his brand new label Houstrike with "Untold Stories" a serving of slinky and emotive tech house with those rich and immersive strings doing most of the work on top of a tough groove. Also "Hidden Elevator" gets pretty fierce as well on this muscular and experimental electro-ish cut which introduces some gorgeous melodies into the fray after not long.
Review: Great Stuff is by far one of the best labels in techno and tech house, with each and every release hitting the mark not just in their specific genres but also opening up to the wider spectrum to inject a fresh slice into progressive and warm-up sets. This latest from Spaniard Dosem is prime example, a simplistic deep groove will get the floor moving while trippy repetitive synth lines and gently bubbling layers gradually build while keeping attention and momentum. If you want to go balls out, then head straight for the rocking Techdub from Mark Reeve.. Pure fire!!
