Review: The In:flux Audio crew have been delivering top quality music for a long time now, 10 years to be precise, and what better way to celebrate than to bring back a number of their heaviest hitters for a fiery collection. Featuring a truly outstanding roster, with the likes of Dr Oscillator, RDubz, Dystinkt, Pelikann and more, this is a great showcasing of what the In:flux sound has represented over the years. Despite being a vibrant collection from top to bottom, two tracks stand out immediately, with the liquified synthesiser swipes of Fork And Knife's 'Jank' and the gnarly, mechanical bass design of Tik&Borrow's 'Kharon' both being real flag flyers. What an achievement!

Review: It's always a high energy affair when the Wub Club crew come to town, a theme they amplify even further with this lively five track project from the ever-ready Dr Oscillator. Right from the jump, the high intensity hardcore organs and mechanical bass rotations of 'Cuckoo' give us a thumping introduction, before the wonky LFO's of 'Body Schmoovin' and typically niche-influenced 4x4 drips 'Hunting Wabbits' continue to up the energy levels. From here, the old school bassline vibes continue to run strong as 'Haunter' again ups the levels with more crazy uses of LFOs and horn stabs, before closing the EP out with the more subby flexes of 'Rock The House', calming things down for the final run out!

Review: Since their inception as a label entity, The Wub Club have been incredibly impressive in their maneuvers, constantly dropping exciting new bass, garage, grime and drum and bass originals with a seriously colourful feel. This latest collection is special as they unveil the first edition of their new 'Wub Club World' compilation series. The artist roster involved is pretty staggering, with the likes of Mikey B, Jack Junior, Deadbeat UK, Dr Oscillator, Event Horizon and a bag more more all getting involved, plus a highly anticipated appearance from label-owner Forca alongside the legendary Phatworld, This project captivates everything the label represents on a grand scale, that being energetic, original underground dance music, a wide range of styles and a top quality showcasing of artists from around the world. The whole project screams quality, but if we were to pick our highlights, we would have to include the outstanding melodic and vocal arrangements of Hans Glader's beautiful 'Autumn' original, next to the high energy drum and bass flavours and catchy synthetic energies of 'Say That Ur Ready' from Mr Dubz. If you are looking for a complete look into underground dance music in the UK, look no further.

Review: The guys at In:Flux really do deserve a lot of credit for their tireless contributions to the UK bass scene over the last few months, having made themselves one of the most prominent Northern imprints within the wide span of the genre. We are here to celebrate and enjoy this compilation celebrating five years of activity from the label. They pull out all the stocks for sure, inviting the likes of Brent Kilner, Pavv, Pelikann, Dr Oscillator, J69 and more to join in the party, with our specific highlights coming from Tik&Borrow themselves, the leading forces behind the project. Review: As a label and collection of artists, In:Flux have been consistently impressive for some years now and there are few ways better to summarize this than a compilation. This 13 track collection, entitled "Selection Box 2017" is bursting at the seams with bassy goodness. We see long term label favourites Palize and Tengu all make fantastic appearances as well as a few absolute heaters from Connerz, Zemon and the wonder kid of the moment: Hamdi. This release also features exclusive VIP mixes from Clean Shirt, Dr Oscillator and J69, making this a must grab for all 4x4 fans.

Review: It's that time again, as the infamous PAR imprint returns for their yearly Christmas compilation, showcasing their extensively versatile roster and variety of musical styles. This year is a collection of returns and debuts, as we see Killjoy, Deadbeat, Dr Cryptic, KXVU, Moony, Jakebob amongst others all make solid return appearances. Some of our favorites include the haunting sounds of Dallen's grimey roller 'Time', the catchy 4x4 riffs and rhythms of Kind Hydra's 'Bass Trap' and skippy arrangement and aggressive synth design on 'Trigga' from the elusive Rotti. There aren't many labels that can boast such an extensive yet versatile roster and yet remain so assured in as many different areas of UK bass music.

Review: Top talent spotters in the Bass game; Project Allout are back with a new squad of bass-making talent, as well as whole host of established names that project helped to launch to the outer stratospheres in recent years. It's the third edition of their legendary Lengerz series packed with 39 tracks straight from the legion of Lengdom and as we've come to expect from the Steel City boys, they're covering the full gully side of the 125 to 140bpm spectrum; from the eski angst of Arkham's "Jacotanu" the tripped out video game Trap of Creep N00m's "419" to the Pulse X style 808 bass tones of Dubzta's "Energy".... there is even a bit of donk in there via Casement's Young Team. Put it this way, if you are a fan of basslines that make your face look like you're chewing lemons then there is something in hear for you!

Review: The Sheff City boys are back with 12 high calorie teatime treats all smothered in basslines that are thicker than chippy gravy! If Chip Shop vol 1 announced Chip Butty Recs as the new leading light of the 4x4 Garage sound, then volume 2 suggests that they plan to keep the heat on high at the fryery. Founding members deliver the on-point bangers that we have come to expect from them but it is the newcomers that bring the real sizzlers here; Rico Tibbs ascends to the skies with uplifting rave pianos on "Warning" Judge Chucky draws for the distortion on breakbeat-techno-bass hybrid "Customer Service". While Rolls Royce opts for an old school flex that we would love to see revived this summer festival season. Not a single dud spud in the batch!

Highlights includes the buzzsaw breakbeats of T&B's own "Junction Box", the sinister afterhours garage of "Too Close" by Connerz and heady, dub-tech mayhem of Joedan's "High Times". Also an extra shout-out goes to the digi-dancehall roof-raiser "Get Funky" by King Hydra.

Review: Dr Oscillator goes way back with his pal Dr Cryptic's Chip Butty label. Here he returns to the source with a sizzling four-track mission statement, the RS Turbo EP. The title tracks kicks things off with some lively 4 x 4 and percolating bass notes, "Haunted Bungalo Riddim" meanwhile, gets more serious, taking some seriously deep wobble bass on board. Elsewhere "Roundhouse" is some attitude-heavy dubby mayhem and "415" finishes up with lean and mean fast beats, digi bleeps and quirky melodies. Fresh sounds!

Review: Sheffield's Project Allout don't mess about, having developed a reputation for championing all directions in the ways of bass. Every take on that three letter word is important to this label and that's why they cram so many hot jams onto their comps. Basically they're the Ferrero Rocher am-bass-adors and they are really spoiling us with 49(!) lengerz. Highlights include AT's bleepy 8-bit hip-hop groove "Flash Bang", the epic, symphonic trap of Dubzta's "Lord Of War" and the almost disco tech grooves of "Murkers' by King Hydra. All killer, no filler!

Review: In:Flux Audio open their first Get Fluxed compilation with the ludicrous bounce of Swedger's "Shellsuit Temptress", and it gets even sillier with the tinges of electro-swing in 1Point5's "Villian". There are more streamlined, deeper passages though, like Pavv's remix of "Hold Up" (neat vocal samples to boot) to Prude Lerude's "I Need Your Love". For beats more stripped and torn check Ramage's "Happy Days" and the Samphet's "Badman", but the best old school UKG flavours come through on Gammy and Mr LA productions. UK garage never sounded so 2015.

Review: An absolute leviathan of a compilation from Project Allout here, and it's just in time for some Christmas cheer from one of the fastest growing UK bass hubs in the game! A tad packed for us to go through it all, but this is guaranteed quality, especially given the fact that the release features plenty of label regulars, new faces and even some pretty incredible cameo appearances from the likes of Caspa, Deadbeat and Dubzta. Each puts in a fine performance, particularly Deadbeat with his "Street Life" cut, a glorious mashup of funky house breaks and wobbled low-end. Be sure to check the licks from Spooky, Mr Dubzta and Tuff Culture, too. Badman vibes and another stunner from Project Allout.

Review: The newly founded In:Flux imprint launches its second release after Tik & Borrow's mutant drum-core single, and it's in the form of an extended collaborative release. Mr C goes in for the kill with three monster house mutants packed with enough low-end to send the dubstep boys into twist. Dr. Oscillator's "The Heist" is a similarly gritty and wobbled-out 4/4 lick, while Tik & Smuggla's "Scuffa Kid" goes into a more broken, swinging garage mode. These guys are setting up their own sound fast, so don't sleep and get to know.

Review: Sheffield's Chip Butty label returns with its latest unmissable dose of bass, with label owner Dr Cryptic delivering three tracks alongside another trio of low-end heaters from Dr Oscillator. Brilliantly titled the Dr Who? EP, it sees Dr Oscillator deliver the digidub-flecked bass of "BIG", the frantic sub workout of "Cocaine" and dark, sinister stripped-back sounds of "Mandem". Dr Cryptic's contributions are on the much ruder end of the bass scale, with "I Don't Care", a peak time slice of 4/4 featuring red alert sirens, "Rudebwoi" a vortex of churning bass and killer vocals and "Gibbo" another tune guaranteed to mash up the dance with its frequencies. Essential stuff!
