Ranging from the twisted bass bubbles and trippy warped sounds of Warhead's 'Tread Carefully' to the interplanetary bleep drama and sweet bubbling subs of Kumo's 'Trick Shot', Agro is explicitly telling us how versatile and timeless his label has always been. Review: Show us your war face! Dreadnaught is blazing up a big one on 'Warrior' with its theatrical build-up that drops into a classic Pendulum style voice emulator before flipping into a super-sized, full-strength jump-up drop of Original Sin levels. 'Greeze' brings a little more sleaze to the groove with deeper spaces between the grot. But it still bites hard with its range of unrelenting bass textures, weaving in and out of each other. Fighting talk.

Review: Cor blimey guvnor, Dreadnaught's had his Shreddies for breakfast today. Coming on strong like a young Original Sin, 'Power' is by far one of the Sub-liminal artist's most chop-walloping releases to date. Big breakbeat fills with Reeses so big they could carpet bomb the whole of Milton Keynes then a weird, twisted riff on the drop (and a killer sample), this is high grade weaponry right here. 'Tuned' continues the early 2000s vibe with its ruffian bassline and unkempt form before suddenly dropping into a massive rap breakbown. Badness!

Review: Chefs kiss! Dreadnaught is back in the kitchen and he's serving up a storm. 'Cook Dem' sees him linking with the bossman Agro who plays consummate sous-chef as they chop and dice their way through the frequencies baking up slamming, swaggering drums along the way. Side dishes include the nutty, twisted ruffage of 'Thinking Cap', the sweet and spicy system slammer 'Soundgirl Killa' (with RV and Miss Melody) and the deliciously gooey bassline pudding 'Blood'. Yum.

Review: Previously spotted on Classified back when it was a free download imprint, Dreadnaught returns to Classified with man-of-the-hour Dunk with this diverse range of D&B blaze-ups. 'One Touch' brings a little R&B soul into the mix while the brilliantly titled 'Throw A Dog A Bone' maintains the vocal pressure but with a much grittier harmonic bassline. Elsewhere 'Cult Following' gets all grizzly and low-slung before 'Weekend VIP' finishes the EP with an epic dramatic twist. What a touch.

Review: The latest bit over on the voracious Sub-liminal Recordings is from Dreadnaught, and it manages to be both driven in its focus and diverse; led by minimal sounds but with splashes of jump up. 'Risk Taker' is absolute genius, with a snapping percussive line that grounds a flowing, funky, bassline that's unlike anything we've heard in a very long time. You have to hear it, really, and it's followed up by the gully roller that is 'Reach Out', an Alix Perez-esque concoction that has us wishing clubs were open. There is the stomping sounds of 'All That', and the clinical minimalism of 'Skyz'. Bigups.

Review: This single from Dreadnaught is a potent demonstration of drum & bass finesse across two tracks, both of which are rolling and both of which combine solid foundations in the percussion with wobbling movement in the low frequencies. 'All Seeing Eye' is the lighter of the pair, with a soulful vocal sample that floats above the arrangement with serious grace, whilst 'The Fall' is bigger, broader and more rambunctious in its attempt to mess you up, a giant foghorn coming round the corner just in time to bump into you and send all your belongings flying. Awesome.

Review: Following the slabs of drum and bass Dreadnaught has released in "Rig Killer" and tracks that made their way to compilations for labels like BYTHEPRODUCER, Virtuous and Within The Woods - Nasty Piece Of Work marks the producer's full debut. Issued by Sub-liminal Recordings out of the UK, Dreadnaught weighs in on the bass, inflicting numbers like "Villian" with murderous dubs vibes that hit the spot alongside subtle tips of UKG buried within the dub of "No Love" and bass of ""Syndicate". Crackly ambient and textural atmospheres float like a dream underneath the jungle rhythms of "Drugs" with stepping rhythms and razor distortion tearing at the tweeters in "Overtime". Straight up street poetry in Dreadnaught's "Blazing The Fire" remix too.

Review: Within The Woods always try their best to replicate the no-holds-barred, anarchic nature of life in the woods and they do so via the aggressive tones of modern D&B. This is a best-of compilation of tracks that have come out through the label and it puts that ethos on good display, featuring some seriously weighty acts like Thierry D and DJ Direkt. The former's contributions are especially potent, gargling displays of production intensity and a lesson to all budding artists out there in how to create a knockout heavy track, with biting bass stabs teaching you all you need to know. DJ Direkt's 'Runn' is equally as naughty but it rests on a much more potent set of drum hits, giving it an extra oomph that you can certainly hear. The others are just as good - check em.

Review: Virtuous is a relatively new record label who have jumped into the scene all guns blazing, having released a string of singles over the past few months. Now, they're launching their first ever VA LP and it's top quality, with sounds that span a wide variety of styles, from rolling liquid to dirty naughtiness. 'Damage' by Code Lost is definitely in the latter category and it's definitely one of the best on the release, with a cavernous bassline of spinning twirls and a pulsating epicentre that pushes out the rest of the track in a slick fashion. One to cop, this.
