Review: More lilting liquid loveliness from the ever-dependable Fokuz imprint, this time from Duoscience. "Sunday" gets this seven-track EP off to a lovely start, with charming vocal and twinkling melodies; "Brighter" is all warm bass and sultry contemplative glow, whilst "Super Star" is a punchier number. "That Is So" adds some quirky glitch to the proceedings, "ABC" pairs troubled piano keys with shuffling breaks and "Category" adds buckets of soul. Concluding cut "Mona Lisa" is every inch the beauty invoked in the title with seductive guitar chords and blissed out atmospherics. Lush.

Review: Fokuz bring us a five course musical dinner from D&B chef Scott Allen, who together with Deeper Connection, Duoscience and Twisted Facts, serves up some lush new flavours to cleanse the palette. "Close Encounters" is all sombre piano keys, tripping breaks and gentle liquid funk, whilst "If I Were Your Woman" goes in with a throbbing b-line and weight subs; "Street Of Gold" pairs clip-clop beats, horns and discordant keys in a smoky, sultry nodd to the jazz era. "Summer Rains" is the most straight up D&B track, reminiscent of the early noughties, and the Brother remix of "Primitive" brings the EP to a close.

Review: Two of Soul Deep's finest join forces again to bring a little class and decorum to the D&B scene. "I Have A Dream" gets things started with a classic break intro as lush piano loops and swoops between bars. As dreamlike as it is sensual, it's a chilled track perfect for lazy late summer days with a bit of a twist - Martin Luther King makes an appearance, lending some much-needed sanity and peace to the busy outside world. "Black Coffee" follows, mixing jazzy grooves with blues and soul samples, rolling beats and an addictively deep bassline. This is D&B for sophisticated souls.

Review: When Soul Deep catch up with a new producer, you know they're something worth writing home about. Techy and crisp, the Sao Paulo-based beatmaker has been creating tunes for a little while now, but it's only with this EP he's really showing his true colours. With punchy beats and a keen ear for detail, there's a touch of early '00s club tracks to some of his tunes, making them all them more valuable in dancefloor currency terms. Mixing it up through jungle breaks and even more experimental bassy productions, this definitely marks him as a man to watch.

Digging deep into the vaults, there's some immaculate refixes on display... L-Side's midas touch continues to sparkle with his rumbling switch-up of "Try To Understand", Need For Mirrors' own wobbly-bottomed relick of "Son Of Sorrow" does absolute damage and the VIP of Cater & Paul SG's "Jazz Cigarette" will blast your wig off with its crisp horns and cosmic vibraphone flurries. Review: Expect sparkling melodies, shimmying synth work and plenty of lovely percussion from this three-track offering on the Celsius imprint. First up is Flame & Against - "Last Prayer" with its gently tripping drums, cooing SFX, sweeping atmospherics and curious, cut up vocal snippet. Progressing into a low slung roller with light percussion and spaced out sounds, it's a subtle one for the heads. Up next is Duoscience - "Sincere Friendship" with warm, undulating bass and throbbing subs, the shimmying instrumentals and clapping beats make for a lilting lullaby effect before MsDos - "Interlude" completes the EP with a sultry little number to round things off.

Review: Duoscience step forward with some laid back, liquid lushness on Celsius with ticking breaks, chilled out atmospherics and delicate SFX a-plenty in the Company EP. First up is the narrative of "Your Company" with its familiar pouring-a-cup-of-tea sample, lilting, hypnotic rhythms and rolling loveliness. Up next is "Sooner Or Later" with its tide-rolling atmospherics and warping woodblock beats cutting a harsh pattern in the soundscape.
