Review: Bringing together the most talented young upstarts in soulful drum & bass right now, Celsius UK are really spoiling us. Smooth, rolling tunes are exactly what everyone needs to brighten up those dark mornings and tracks like "Still Blue" and "Knights Like These" with their deep grooving basslines do just that. Malaky's doomy effort "Soon" has the potential for some real dancefloor action too, with growling bass and a touch of dark and techy experimentation. A real mixed bag of tunes, get yourself a treat.

Review: Working together once more this time for Soul Deep Exclusives and available also as a freshly pressed 12", these are two instant classics. Featuring a classic Furney bassline that gets crowds bopping, it's a jazzy masterpiece of soulful rhythms and big rolling vibes. Holding up the flipside, Dynamic pops an all-over experimental feel that's as big as it is accomplished. There's something about that bassline that despite it's liquid sensibilities, really makes it hit hard. Both tracks are equally immersive, however for true innovation over anything else, Dynamic rules the roost. Well worth those hard-earned pennies.

Review: A neat little compilation EP from Focuz shows us all what their latest upstarts have to offer to the world of liquid and Drum & bass. Kicking off with Dope's chilling switcher, it's got a stepper bounce but the smooth bassy vibe to pull off any mid-set breakdown. Dynamic plunges in next with a soulful sparkling roller, giving nothing away for the next few tracks which happen to be complete departures from his signature sound. Maceo & The Cracks pump junglist vibes into old school hip hop and James Brown funk, and Presents whips out a clean-cut techy sound perfect for slicing through the abundance of genres already heard along the way. A nice selection.

Review: Dynamic, Pixel and Blade team up for this four-track Soul Hypnosis EP which is full of mellow, feel-good vibes for the duration. Kicking things off is Dynamic's "Indelible" with its soft, breezy atmospheric sweeps, timid breaks and glistening melodies. Next is Pixel's "Doubt" with its tripping beats, swirling piano melodies and hypnotic glow, whereafter Dynamic & Blade team up for "Soul Hypnosis" which is a more sparse offering, dominated by pattering beats and echoing vocals. Then Pixel draws things to a close with the soothing sounds of grand finale "Sequential".

Review: A cracking various artist EP here from a range of artists new and old on the Fokuz label. Getting things started with its smokey, jazz-infused tones is Dynamic's "Up My World" which is all shuffling breaks and swirling atmospherics. Next is Sunny Crimea's "I Want It" which pairs iconic chuckling breaks with shimmying trumpet tones and warm, undulating bass below. After that it's over to Rowpieces for "Concept Of Love" with its low-slung humming and rattling percussion and cool swagger, before Kredit's "Captured Moments" rounds things off in style.

Review: A fun filled four-track EP on Fokuz here, with Dynamic heading it up and then a slew of collabs with Command Strange to finish it off. First up though is his solo release "Cotton Club Thing" which is a lovely, jiving slice of funk filled D&B with rattling breaks and oodles of soul. Next up is the eponymous track of the EP "Girls" with its swirling melodies and chiming beats; then there's the more serious sounds of "Jazzmine" with its jazzy beats and laid back allure. Finally "So Much Tenderness" rounds the EP off with a shimmying chirrup.

Review: Barely seven months have passed since Celsius's first label compilation, but that hasn't stopped them from curating yet another sublime selection of their best talent. Soulful rollers are the order of the day, armed with the perfect amount of bottom end welly but deep enough for some rather enchanting headphone listening, too. Highlights include the reverberating double bass strums on Dream Workers' "Duplicate", the Good Looking flavours on Severity Zero's "Snow" and the more contemporary bass rumbles of Phat Playaz "On Your Mind". But to be honest, they're all exceedingly checkable. If you're not feeling Celsius heat yet, here's an ideal place to start.

Review: Another day, another dollar, another treat from the ever-prolific Fokuz imprint. This time our dose of aural medicine comes courtesy of Dynamic, who serves up the Tokyo Blur EP, a gorgeous collection of tunes with a lush, atmospheric theme. First up is aptly entitled "Beautiful Moments" with its tinkling piano keys, sweeping melodies and gently shuffling drums. Then it's on to "Tokyo Blur" with its melancholy strings and more hollow beats, it carves a fascinating journey with twists and turns across its four-minute duration. "The Feeling's Right" ups the ante with terse beats and dreamy, sweeping atmospherics before "Midnight Sublime", a collab with Pouyah, draws things to a poignant close.

Review: MsDoS dominates the EP, going solo for the first track but then teaming up with Static and Dynamic. First up is "One Day" - an easygoing little piece, with shimmying vocal, the occasional clink of cymbals, distant bassline grumbling and nice, punchy breaks keeping things ticking over. The title track "Mr Gibbs" brings in the talents of Static for an uplifting slice of sunshine, all chiming piano keys, shimmying trumpets, breezy SFX and a calm, laidback vibe. Concluding cut "Rio Dreamin" with Dynamic pairs hollow, clapping beats with rolling percussion and some sultry melodies laid over top.

Review: Dynamic brings us a truly enchanting album in the shape of Modal Lounge. "Feel The Way You Do" gets things started with a flurry of rattling breaks, chirpy instrumentals and muffled song, before we move through the lush, lilting rhythms of the aptly named "Fade Away" to woozy, soulful laidback loveliness in cuts like "Manhattan Love Theme" and "Softly Spoken Night". "Nighttrain To Montmartre" continues the romantic theme, with gorgeous, breezy atmospherics. Elsewhere we have the sultry "Modal Lounge" and concluding cut "Old Brooklyn Thing". A great album to unwind to of a summer's evening.
