Review: Fix up, look sharp: Low Down Deep looks back over some past corkers and shares the parts around. First up the unstoppable T>I softens the distorted bark on Maji's 2015 "Pick 'Em Out" and adds a humming sub vibe, Ego Trippin take us back to Pacso's 2011 Pakistan adventure with a whole new savage riff on "Coastin Through Karachi" while Jayline kicks Dom and D's already KO-worthy "Rumble" into a whole new battlecage. Finally Tyke take Ego Trippin's biggest banger to date, scrunches it up into a tight ball, dowses it in petrol, sets fire to it and kicks it in through your bedroom window. And you wouldn't have it any other way.... Would you?

Review: At long last... Ego Trippin's highly anticipated album All City is about to open a whole case of gully whoop-ass in our pieholes and here are our starter courses. "Mind Bender" is all about the warped, melted drone bassline that sits somewhere between Serum and Micky Finn with its funky, weirdness and art of surprise. The already massive "Trill Seekers", meanwhile, gets a G'd up VIP with a cool variation on the bass riff and some sleaze funk on the synths via the fills. Trippin on sunshine lads.

Review: Essex boy EGO TRIPPIN is jump up's man of the moment he's tracks have been destroying floors for a hot sec and now he's unleashing those VIP's we've been hearing for months. As with all VIPs the tracks stay true to originals with tiny tweaks. 'Filthy Criminals' see's extra layers added to the main melody at different pitches, bringing new textures to the track, and the odd little skip giving illusions of double drops. While 'Two Types' echoes and prolongs, if you're a fan of the first two this is a no brainer.

Review: Subway Soundz have get busy on the recruitment flex with five certified bangers from a whole cast of badmen. Higher Stakes bosser Pacso links up with Term for the grizzly opening salvo before Ego Trippin throw a few extra notes into the already infectious bassline riff on the Methodical "Barely Breathing". Elsewhere Coda tans our hides with a high harmonic Clipz-style bassline Certified & Silent Storm dust off the divas while Masker provides the final knock out with the super-bounce roller "Dirty Business". Time to get mucky.

Review: Purveyors of fine DnB since 1996, this Essex outfit (Ian Wait, Martin Blackman, Matt North) don't mess about. Here we have a new two-track joint (literally if you see the cover) on Low Down Deep Recordings. Short and sweet and to the point, this single is all about fast fun. "Thrill Seekers" is a proper jump up jam, with dancehall bass melodies, scattershot breaks and spacey effects. "Tracker' is a filthier beast altogether, with sub-troubling wobbly bass barks, speedy drums and some effective vocals samples.

Review: The title says it all: "Hard Bop" is as succinct as it sounds. A "Warhead" style Q&A with a very lean rhythm and subs complexion, a whole universe of funk can be found in the devilishly simple groove. "Sight N Soundz" adopts a similar minimal MO with a very precise, classical late 90s style bass riff that just nags and nags until you submit. Both cuts laced with detailed drum work that never sits still, Ego Trippin is, once again, bang on the dollar with these.

Review: Putting the vibes in to V/A: Logan D curates a brand new various artist EP with heavyweight results: Heist and Logan himself ignite the turbo engine with the low-swung roll-out "Do It" while Cabin Fever & Info lay down a much sterner sermon with "Wake Up". Deeper again we hit mysterious newcomer Drop Off with a powerful riff-primed cut that's reminiscent of a young Tyke while veterans Ego Trippin' return with a beautifully bouncy Bingo style workout "Barely Breathing". All quarter covered and plenty more.
