Review: Bristol's Shall Not Fade presents a new DJ mix by Polish producer Bartosz Kruczynski aka Earth Trax, who just last week dropped his third LP for the label - The Sensual World. The 13-tracker saw the Warsaw-based producer prove himself as one of the most versatile and consistent producers in the game. This hour long continuous mix, however, proves his abilities behind the decks and comes also the individual tracks. Some of the highlights not limited to: the understated stomp of Trudge's emotive "When The Rain", the airy electro of Tom Vernon's "Disappear" or the ever reliable Harrison BDP taking you aboard the acid express on "Immortal", as well as the mandatory Earth Trax cuts "Trust Me" (dub mix,) "Fireflies" and "Dream Pop".

Review: Having recently contributed to the label's War Child compilation series, Eluize returns to Craigie Knowes for her second album. "Ennui" kick starts the release in dreamy mode, before she focuses on a darker sound with the pummelling kicks and wild acid spirals of "Relinquish". On "Wasn't Ready", she keeps her focus on acid influences, this time with hushed vocals underpinned by a throbbing acid line, while "Hideaway" showcases Eluize's ability to craft techno torch songs as dreamy vocals are fused with a mysterious, downtempo arrangement. Meanwhile, on "Supposed", she reaches a midway point between the dreamy and the dance floor-based with an acidic stepper.

Eluize - "Enervation" (Asthenia Recovery mix) - (4:43) 129 BPM
The Burrell Connection - "Sun Fades Away" - (4:00) 146 BPM
Rudolf C - "Crystaliser" - (5:47) 131 BPM

DJ Python - "Moto" - (6:56) 114 BPM
Review: With most altruistic projects focused on supporting Covid-related causes, it's heartening to see that the Craigie Knowes label continues to support the War Child charity. This fourth instalment is an exemplary volume, and features expansive, wide-eyed ambient pieces from Night Tide's Eluize and The Burrell Connection sitting alongside the twitchy, acid-infused breaks of Rudolf C's "Crystalliser". Scene veteran Warlock also contributes, with the busy, noisy electro of "Shock Headed" - which is similar in style to "Real Seeker", Stellar Om Source's contribution - while on "Transitions", Innershades steers the compilation back towards a more melodic direction. While these tracks all stand out in their own right, the fact that they are supporting a good cause makes them even more precious.

The Third Annual War Child Fundraiser Pt 2
Mark Du Mosch - "Flyyying" - (4:43) 125 BPM
Credit 00 - "Saturday Morning" - (4:55) 124 BPM
William The Squid - "Arab_Sun" - (5:20) 128 BPM Hot
Jared Wilson - "Pulsewidth" - (6:52) 110 BPM
Eluize - "L.L.L." - (6:04) 122 BPM
Review: Given that money from all sales of this release go to the War Child charity (an institution that fine Scottish imprint Craigie Knowes has been supporting since its inception), it would be easy to recommend buying it regardless of the quality of the music contained within. Happily, it's a brilliant EP full of fabulous cuts that you really should own regardless of the release's philanthropic intentions. Check, for example, the fluid, off kilter, subtly disco-tinged brilliance of Mark Du Mosch's "Flyyying" [sic], the deep and spacey electro lusciousness of William The Squid's "Arab Sun" and the heavy analogue wonkiness of jack-track specialist Jared Wilson's "Pulsewidth". Arguably best of all, though, is the twisted acid house psychedelia of Eluize's breath-taking closer "L.L.L".
