Review: Lincoln 'El' Prevost has been making music for over 10 years. Previously as one half of Deepologists on their short lived Built In Britain imprint and now finding success as a solo artist, mainly recording for London hi-tech soul institution Third Ear Recordings where he has presented three stellar EPs. "Wise Man" is a woozy and stripped back Afro house style cut, which wouldn't have sounded out of place on a label like Innervisions and that life affirming dialogue over the top is just brilliant. It gets a bunch of wicked remixes here: our favourites were UK techno legend Mark Broom's deep and emotive dub techno rendition and Korevex "Deep Soul mix" going for that loopy detroit minimalist vibe reminiscent of Robert Hood or Terrence Dixon; sick acid lead in this one!
