Review: In all honesty, we are running out of words to describe the pure domination we are seeing from the Duploc camp, especially with their output thriving heavily in 2023's unique dubstep ecosystem. For this latest offering, they celebrate their 100th official drop with a regal arrangement of guests, including the likes of Lost, Wraz, Rugby, Ternion Sound, ENiGMA Dubz and more, all of whom have pulled out their weightiest weapons in combined celebration. If you wanted a full on display of the majesty currently at work within dubstep's deep catacombs, then look no further than this epic selection, with our favourites including the ground mulching bass melodies of Hebbe's 'The Insider', next to Mystic State's warming rework of 'Voice' from Opus, and of course Hamdi's rave-ready synth action explored within 'Immortal'. There aren't many collectives doing more than the Duploc team right now.

Review: It is always a pleasure to see ENiGMA Dubz back in action, being a veteran of more genres than most people have had hot dinners. He lands here with the first of his new 'Mixtape' series on Morii, welcoming a wealth of guests to table as he explores dubstep and 140 heat with a sizzling feeling. The guests for this edition feature the likes of Virus Syndicate, Nika D, Snowy, Bommer, Hypho, PAV4N and more, all contributing killer combinations to deliver an incredibly vibrant showcasing of ENiGMA's seemingly endless production palette. For us, there are three immediate standouts, with the earth shattering subs of Gnasha's guest appearance on 'Earthworm', the scuttling sub tweaks of 'Dune Buggy' with Wraz and MYTHM's weighty appearance on the bone chilling 'No Fear' all delivering significant punches.

Review: Across the last 10 years, there aren't many platforms that have given as much energy, time and dedication towards the dubstep scene than Duploc, a platform and entity committed to the betterment and advancement of the original dubwise sound. This collection is a fabulous showcase of the strength they posses as both a label and promotional platform, with 10 of the best delivering absolute weapons, from the swampy bass reverberations of Infekt's 'Kefir', to the Bond-esc bass grooves of Tactics from Ternion Sound and dizzying soundscaping of Juss B's 'Can't Sleep'. The overall project is just dripping in quality, with the likes of ENiGMA Dubz, Oxossi, Mungk, Smith. and Ourman all hard hitting creations. Our highlights have to include the metallic masterclass of Distance's 'Vigilance', showcasing one of the scenes eternal heavyweights, next to the slickly designed sub crunches and bouncy percussive overloads of Hebbe's 'Quotha'. Incredible work and an incredible way to celebrate such an important institution.

Review: You can always rely on the Duploc team to deliver on the big stage, with this latest collection seeing them continue their 'BLXCK TXPES' series into its second edition. Featuring 8 hardy originals, the roster is truly stacked with talent, with the likes of ENiGMA Dubz, 11th Hour, Pushloop, Hypho and more veterans all making themselves known, next to a couple of very tidy original creations from Chef Boyarbeatz and DubDiggers / 207. Our two highlights come from right at the top of the project, with Hamdi's 'Skanka' being one of the most sought after 140 originals of 2022 and Lost's 'Level Up', being an irresistible swampy roller. The whole collection however just oozes quality and is another emphatic victory for one of the most consistent 140 outlets out there.

Review: Over the many years of ENiGMA Dubz awesome career, we have seen him sweep into so many different areas of electronic music, with this brand new album being a culmination of all of those styles, showcasing his production mastery in serious style. From the grizzly LFO and euphoric synth lines of the dubstep-inspired 'Replicants' to the heavenly vocal displays and jungle-inspired drumlines of 'Afterlife', he really does cover all bases in this outstanding display. It's a truly outstanding collection, with our highlights including the beautiful harmonic layers and garage-style rhythms of 'Enlightenment', next to the shuffling trap-like arrangements of 'Lost Souls' and the downright tearout vibes of 'Bump In The Night', which fits right onto any Rampage tracklisting. An incredible body of work to say the least.

Review: Ain't no messing around here; Enigma Dubz makes his debut on Hatcha's Hatched with some of his most frazzled and forthright jams. "Haters" don the hater-blockers with classic sheet metal bass rippage and orchestral tension, "In Heaven With You" will tug on your heart strings with its dank, laser-melting bass twists while "The Swarm" lulls you into a false sense of tropical security before a Predator bassline leaps out from the swamp and kills you in your tracks. Finally "Torn" takes a yearning, soulful vocal and wraps it around broken glass bass shards in a dangerously seductive way. Immense.

Enigma's beats are the perfect balance of heavy presence and eerie melody while allowing enough space for Screama and Trilla to trade melodic bars with each other. The remix-list is mind bogglingly good with all flavours catered.
