Review: Recently, Escort has been on their travels around the U.S, providing support for soul revivalist Cee-Lo Green. Here, the Brooklyn-based disco revivalists change tack a little, blending their usual Nile Rodgers guitars, spiraling horns, bold vocals and Vincent Montana strings with surging synthesizer arpeggio lines that recall contemporary synth-pop, rather than original Italo-disco. Little Boots flips the script on her remix, making great use of Escort's Konk-style horns, delay-laden instrument snippets, and a heavy new synth bassline. Elsewhere, Jacques Renault re-casts "Cabaret" as a booming, low-slung, percussion-rich house bomb, while fellow Let's Play House types Tippy Toes bring the bass-heavy, tech-house wonkiness.
