Review: Naza's Keep Deep continues trooping from strength to strength since its launch earlier this year. Following key smoulder sessions from the likes of Tony Rocky Horror, Skuvlow and Michael Dayne come these two purring pieces from US low end professor Fabricator. "Summer Night Strange" moves with a mechanical fluidity, well oiled and prone to crushing. "Jazz Tune" provides much more of a soulful serenade with introspective chords, stumbling beats and a vibe that instantly puts you at ease. Sublime.

Review: LA badman 6Blocc has been given the keys to Phantom Hertz slimiest, dankest vaults and told to get wild on a remix flex. Fixing up some of the label's classic cuts with a drum & bass / halftime perspective, highlights include a sub-heavy twist on DayZero's "Unexplored", a rifle-like drum explosion on Fabricator's "Society" (one of the label's earliest releases) and the tribal shakedown of High Dude's "Abduct". Deep, dubby and dangerous, 6Blocc has smashed the dickens out of this remix project.

Review: Deep dubstep from Rochester, NY. Not where you'd expect some of the most authentic minimal 140 sounds to be coming from, but since the brostep boom over the Atantic, many producers are stuck on reclaiming the genre. Fabricator's newcomer status belies a devastating talent for deep atmospherics and dark, head-turning bass manipulation. Utilising wide open spaces in his production as well as judicious layers of sub pressure, there's also an element of experimentation to this release. "Hey!" in particular has a surprise waiting in the fifth minute. One to watch.
