Review: Fadi Mohem returns to Klockworks, this time to share a release with label owner Ben Klock. Inspired by 90s minimalism, opening track "Prefix" is a stripped back, bleep-laden affair. Powered by an angular rhythm and hissing percussion, it recalls vintage material from DBX. "Gateway" has a more contemporary flavour, as the pair deploy a swinging rhythm and lead-weight kicks for maximum impact. "Hydrocarbon" is much more visceral, with Klock and Mohem dropping the kind of gritty, swinging drums more commonly associated with Neil Landstrumm's 90s work. Shifting styles again to focus on modern sounds, "Prism" is a linear workout that resounds to hypnotic, clicking percussion.

Review: For the eighth instalment of WSNWG, Rodhad teams up with Fadi Mohem, who has released on Klockworks and Fjaak's SPANDAU20. Unsurprisingly, this partnership yields four crafty dance floor techno tracks. "210407.1" is a chord-heavy affair that is underpinned by a dense bass and impactful thunder claps. "210409.1" follows in a similar vein, with the pair deploying an insistent stab over niggling percussion and a rolling groove. On "210407.2" they up the pace to deliver a looped DJ tool, while "210407.3" diverts somewhat from the approach thanks to Mohem and Rodhad's use of a stepping rhythm and niggling acid lines.

Review: The second release on Spandau20 is a family affair. Fadi Mohem, who has previously released on Klockworks, gets down to business with the steely, percussive techno of "Nine". Shifting gears and changing tact, Balas delivers the broken beats, clanging hats and jungliest bass of "Desdemona", while Fjaak return to straighter techno thanks to the big-room chord stabs and pounding kicks of "Transmission", which has echoes of Dave Clarke's Red series. The sound shifts once again for Claus Schoning's "Wizard". In stark contrast to what went before it, it's an abstract, break beat track full of otherworldly squelches and atmospheric textures.
