Farron

Having grown up as a skater in a small town close to Munich, Farron, real name Christoph, began to build his musical foundation upon hip hop, reggae, and punk from an early age. Electronic music did not have a significant role in his early years, however his curiosity started to grow when he first permeated the nearby clubs in Munich. Christoph found himself entering exciting new realms after enriching visits to local club Harry Klein. With the following years spent visiting various clubs around the nearby Bavarian capital, as well as a growing interest in a wide range of artists and labels, his first sound was shaped and helped him build a music direction. As his studio equipment expanded, and after clocking up countless hours In his studio, the German producer, known LaChriz at the time, saw the fruits of his labour land on various labels such as Woods ’N Bass Records, Out-ER, Baud Music and more notably on Ilian Tape.
With the producer’s pursuit of independence, came the desire to establish his own label. A place that serves as a musical platform for not only himself, but somewhere that likeminded artists can also be invited to express themselves fully. His label Shaw Cuts, founded in 2015, was a milestone for the artist and was also responsible for Farron, the artist’s latest and most fruitful solo alias. Since the label’s genesis, we have seen the artist and label go from strength to strength – both amassing a very credible catalogue! Along-side the announcement of his freshly created platform, Farron also managed to land more releases on Forbidden Planet, Renascence, XCPT and Subosc.
In 2021, Farron also released on Berlin’s genre-bending label Voitax, where the two entities have zeroed in on a very unique and promising relationship. In the same year, he released his debut album 'Shinrin Yoku' on Shaw Cuts.
Besides his studio work, Farron is constantly shaping his liveset with a versatile, free-spirited and personal approach.
