Review: It's time to set sail once again aboard the shit ship Bassboat, with this latest edition of their 'Shipwrecked' series being stuffed to the brim with bubbly original bassline action. From the strict 4x4 bounces of Palize Unleashing 'Make It Hot', to the party starting bass sweeps of STNDRD DUBS' 'Bruk Wine', this project packs a really high level of dancefloor energy, featuring 12 absolute stompers, designed to amplify any rave environment. The whole project is exciting to say the least, with the likes of JCEE, Kyle George, More Fool U, Warpfit and more all delivering hard hitting crunches, with our favourites including rapid fire warbles of 'Vibing' from Fiyahman, next to the unorthodox drum chops of Lewy Selekta's 'Dance Wiv Me' and clown-like rhythmic switches of Gasman's 'Ruffy McTuffy'. Awesome stuff!

Review: Following on from another string of exciting releases, we are thrilled to see the return of In:Flux Audio, and the fifth edition of their extremely popular compilation series 'Get Fluxed'. The line up for the selection is potent to say the least, seeing high profile returns for the likes of J69, Nekst, Fiyahman, Swedger and more, along with the introduction of some eyebrow raising newcomers! For us the highlights on this one simply have to include the dancefloor destroying old school UKG flavours of 'The Massive Crew' from Sekt-87, along with Teotek's neurotic thrillride in 'Tunnel Driver'.

Review: As one of the most prominent labels in the UK Bass scene, In:Flux Audio have consistently delivered banging release after banging release, and the most recent edition of their 'Get Fluxed' compilation series shows they have no intention of stopping this trend. They bring some of their classic roster into the field of play as Pavv, Tengu, Zemon and Fiyahman all make return appearances. For us however the highlights lay in Hamdi's super groovy 'Zing Zoom Zoom', which channels vibrant bass instrumentation with super punchy drum riffs. Another instant favourite would have to be the speed garage inspired arrangement of 'Trigga Finga' from bassline high flyer Sekt-87 and In:Flux founders Tik&Borrow.

Review: As a label and collection of artists, In:Flux have been consistently impressive for some years now and there are few ways better to summarize this than a compilation. This 13 track collection, entitled "Selection Box 2017" is bursting at the seams with bassy goodness. We see long term label favourites Palize and Tengu all make fantastic appearances as well as a few absolute heaters from Connerz, Zemon and the wonder kid of the moment: Hamdi. Review: Top talent spotters in the Bass game; Project Allout are back with a new squad of bass-making talent, as well as whole host of established names that project helped to launch to the outer stratospheres in recent years. It's the third edition of their legendary Lengerz series packed with 39 tracks straight from the legion of Lengdom and as we've come to expect from the Steel City boys, they're covering the full gully side of the 125 to 140bpm spectrum; from the eski angst of Arkham's "Jacotanu" the tripped out video game Trap of Creep N00m's "419" to the Pulse X style 808 bass tones of Dubzta's "Energy".... there is even a bit of donk in there via Casement's Young Team. Put it this way, if you are a fan of basslines that make your face look like you're chewing lemons then there is something in hear for you!
Highlights here at Juno HQ include the skaggy chirps on Dead Beat UK's "Baghead VIP", Livsey's TC inspired "Tap Ho" and newcomer Cole slowing the pace but not the intensity with the earth shattering "Mud".
There's a reason why these compilations hang around the top of our charts for years on end, it's because they are jam packed with silly amounts of exclusive A-sides. You don't need to be an Oxbridge educated economist to realise that few labels in the game can boast bang per buck like this!

Review: Stroud/Bristol dude Fiyahman is a bit of an expert in conjuring up moody 'grime house' cuts for labels like Sika Records and Second To None Music. Now he's hooked up with yet another killer label, In:Flux, to deliver a two new original joints. "Tobacco" kicks things off with some nice skippy UKG vibes, whilst "Wine & Dub" is hazy, ecstasy-infused 2-step fizz-out. Pavv takes the former into leaner, electro-step territory, whilst Tik&Borrow take a different route via brooding and slow electronica.

Review: If we're talking bass, then In:Flux Audio surely has to be in the running for most prolific label of 2016. The unstoppable collective is always full of tricks up their sleeves, and this Selection Box compilation is exactly the sort of thing we wanted to hear from them; a rough and packed collection of their best and most definitive moments of last year. From pseudo jungle, weird, amorphic dubstep, and killer speed-house, there isn't much that sounds wring with this release, and even the most demanding of bass-heads are likely to find something that they'll churn out week after week, floor after floor.

Review: Much like squashing a fly with a sledgehammer, Sheffield's Project Allout, counter Bristol's bass supremacy with this mammoth compilation. Yes, the second instalment in their eponymous series boasts a frankly absurd 39 new fresh bass cuts. It may take a while to get through it all, but that's half the fun. Inititial highlights include the speedy claps, fizzy hats and taut wobble vibes of "Manners" by 1Thirty, the horror move trap thrills of "Black Missile" by "Familiar Face" and the voluptuous house bass of Mooney's "At The Top".

Review: Tik&Borrow's In:Flux Audio label has developed its strong reputation not least due to the duo's discerning ears. A new Get Fluxed comp always means more of their expertly curated selections. This time round there are 12 cuts that provide something for everyone on a bass tip. Highlights includes the buzzsaw breakbeats of T&B's own "Junction Box", the sinister afterhours garage of "Too Close" by Connerz and heady, dub-tech mayhem of Joedan's "High Times". Also an extra shout-out goes to the digi-dancehall roof-raiser "Get Funky" by King Hydra.

Review: Second To None Music have chosen the right name for their label. These guys should not be underestimated, and their output is among the best UK bass, garage and funky that we have heard recently. This statement compilation is simply putting them on a lot of people's radars, and getting the to know that absolutely nobody at their HQ is messing around when it comes to relaxing fresh bangers for the UK's dance floors. The music is wild and diverse, ranging from pure bassline to UK funky, and there are certainly plenty of noticeable artists and known faces here, including neb-dancehall specialist Deadbeat, Mikey B, B Squared, and Hypho. If you're into the British way of doing house, then this twist up will surely satisfy.

Review: Influx:Audio is a label celebrating the thriving bass scene of their native Yorkshire. One of their shining stars is Pavv (ironically from Brighton) who has made a big splash in the UK bass scene with releases for the likes of U Wot Blud? Here they invite him to reveal his top artists and tunes happening right now and he doesn't disappoint, delivering 10 bleeding edge jams including the space-age UKF of "Things I Do" by Deadbeat UK, the percolating bass gargles of "Nod Ya Head" by Spookz and Pavv's own quirky take on wobble-heavy 4 x 4, "Everyday".

Review: Founded back 2010 by duo Vital techniques, Second To None, was born with the intent to promote 'the sickest...130-140bpm bass' from around the UK. They've certainly done that here, presenting 12 bleeding edge cuts for listening pleasure. Highlights include the linear, up-and-down hoover bass joint "Live My Life" by Deadbeat UK, Mikey B's heavy and eccentric 2-step gem "I Wonder" and Vital Techniques own deep bass workout, "News To Me".
