Review: Paul SG's Jazzsticks get us hot under the collars, trousers and dancing shoes all at once with these two stunning soul missives from long time fam Flowers. 'Dust And Noise' takes the lead with its dreamy hazy bedding and familiar reggae vocal while 'Close' takes us down even sultrier pathways. Subdued, minor key, introspective, sensual... Think North Quarter but with its own Austrian 'das gewisse etwas'. Go with the Flowrian.

Review: One of the stickiest of Jazzsticks stickmen, collective OG Flowrian shows us how it's done with these two dusty ditties. 'Bittersweet' is all about the off-beat piano hook that gently wraps and unwraps around the persistent breaks and soft focus vocal. 'Jill' follows suit on an instrumental flavour. Dreamy, hazy, sexier than a sunny day in Swansea, but peppered with some very sweet rave elements to give it that special edge - nobody does it like Flowrian.

Review: This VA is jam-packed with some of the scene's best liquid maestros, and it's of the movement for Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism, a group which seeks to raise awareness and money for those who have autism. Low:r, Furney, MsDos and more have gotten themselves involved, and the result is a lovely, serene walk through some of 174's most nonchalant moments. 'Eyes Closed' by Low:r is especially gorgeous, with his trademark organic sound fluttering in the wind of his creativity like usual. Changer is characteristically deep with 'Only To Be', and it's just the iceberg of what is a brilliant album for a brilliant cause.

Review: Jazzsticks lay down the soul gospel once more: Swiss mainstay Flowrian reaches Calibre proportions with his piano-laced break-rattler that's at once dreamy, lean but sprung with a loose, funky groove. Newcomer Sinbin makes his debut with a similarly breezy roll-out where crisp drums, light organs and strange cascading elements fuse to form a groove that wouldn't go amiss in Marky's arsenal.

Review: Longstanding Swiss representer, Flowrian steps over to Jazzsticks for a fluid five-piece. If you're familiar with his output on Fokuz then you'll know the level of groove weight at play... Anchored liquid that fires rather than floats. Highlights include the bravado horns and slinky bass of "Point Of No Return" and the tightly plucked, infinitesimally edited jazz sample on "Tennenbaum". "Breakup With The Past", his cobweb-blasting, organ hammering vocal jam with Paul SG, shouldn't be sniffed at either. Solid.

Review: From a glorious rolling start to shimmering, euphoria-high end, this various artist EP exudes the sort of good time feelings that usually only come with hearing liquid drum and bass on a gorgeous beach somewhere. In lieu of that scenario, this release offers sunny sounds and vibes that are enough to fool you into being there. Which is just perfect. "Blue" kicks us off with beautiful piano and sax, Flowrian's remix of "Rarities" is a flowing, bass-driven romp around funky brass and Pulsaar's "Maximillian" remix takes an edgier detour through junglist bass and percussion. Finally Rhodesomes gets a Soul Structure overhaul complete with sexy brass and an even more sultry vibe. Liquid perfection.

Review: Flowrian and Kyro return to Focuz for another round of drum & bass classics in the making and this time things just got a little more chilled. Alright, so the breaks are as edgy as ever and the feverish bass rolls out like nobody's watching but "Never Ever" has the crisp production and dreamlike sampling of a track made for stealth chilling. The happiness continues in "Formulas", tapping away at electro bips and boops while sax swoons all mellow-like in the background. Final track "Valencia" gets a 'deep & dry' remix, topping of the mid-range with hazy atmosphere and a whole bunch of deep-meaning feels. A must-have for every D&B headphone commuter.

Review: Beautiful deep and intelligent drum & bass from some of the industry's most inspiring producers. Kicking off with the fresh sounds of Flowrian "Unusual Order", there's a tint of the far east influencing the melody lines while each note seems to drip delicately into a deep pool of bass. Big, interesting layers are at play and it all sounds incredibly cinematic. Jazzier and with the type of rolling rhythm that brings club floors to critical mass, Paul SG and Carter's gorgeous contribution "Telly's Theme" brings a touch of class. How D&B should be.

Review: It's a scientifically proven fact that a D&B DJ is never more than two metres away from a Jazzsticks record. Check this beautifully crafted doublet and you'll understand just why. Flowrian's "Lifetime" wafts gracefully with breezy synths, dreamy flourishes and a delectable slap bass hook. Static follows suits with an equally captivating number: "Brass It" charges full steam with an epic orchestral hook. Horns and strings a-go-go, it's not dissimilar to London Elektricity's early output. Timelessly funky and scientifically solid, these demand your attention.

Review: Fancy some beautifully crafted drum & bass? Start here with Paul SG and Flowrian's latest collaborative effort, a mixture of rough and smooth. First track "Strive" features TRAC and LaMedusa who help the phat-ass bassline along with classy old school hip hop vibes and decent, snappy flows. Add to that some sax and you've got yourself a winner. "Contact" is a whole other kettle of fish though, ranging those high-end snares way up there, keeping it fresh and tight as the icy atmosphere fills out around a roaming jazzy bassline. Crisp, clean and definitely a must-have.

Review: Swiss producer and DJ Flowrian has a lot to be happy about. With a string of releases across Europe and beyond, he's one of the main pillars of the fresh new liquid funk sound coming from the continent. Collaborating with fellow Swiss producer Pulsaar, "The Way It Is" comes together in a pastel-perfect blend of smooth, rolling bass and classy vintage touches, and is a fantastic example of where Liquid Funk is at right now. Rowpieces' Jazz VIP of "Stroke of Genius" oozes funk and soul, with just a hint of classic Photek along for the ride. Sultry summer instant classics; all we need now is some sun.

Review: Flowrian presents a smashing album on Fokuz; an expansive collection of tracks, this one is bound to impress. With its light, delicate rhythms and intricate percussion, underpinned by gliding melodies and sumptuous vocal elements, there's plenty for the liquid fans to savour here. Kicking off with "Mark Foam" with its gentle, rippling sounds, we are taken through such moments as "The Suns Shadow" with its deep, rhythmic pulse, and the blissed out psychedelia of "Road To Atlantis". Ever reflective, cuts such as "Casandra" draw out the more contemplative side of Flowrian with its melancholy trumpets and drifting malaise. This is well worth checking out if you like more gentle, liquid D&B with plenty of soul and sultriness.

Review: An exciting range of underground artists feature on the Hidden Tunes Part 1 on Jazzsticks Records including the likes of: Flowrian, Altitude, Rowpieces, Clart & Dave Owen, Undersound & Andy Sim and Pulsaar. Tuning in to the deeper and more experimental side of the D&B spectrum expect plenty of shuffling beats and soulful touches in "City Guide", while "Recollections" is a more swooning, vocal-led cut. Review: Another day, another dollar... and another release from the ever-prolific Fokuz imprint. This time round it's a three-track EP entitled "There Was A Girl 2011" featuring two tracks from Flowrian and another collab between Intelligent Manner & Dynamic. The title track is all lush twinkling melodies, atmospheric sweeps, dusty breaks rattling and a breezy, distant vocal - a stunner from Flowrian here. Next, "So Sincere" (the collab track) is all twinkling, fairy dust showers and clicking, rolling breaks with gently humming b-line. "Rhino Lands", the concluding track, sees Flowrian back in the hot seat with pattering beats, quirky SFX and the occasional toot of a trumpet.

Review: Flowrian's Science Fiction EP is every inch the bonafide Fokuz release - liquid loveliness on a plate with breezy vocals, gentle breaks and calming atmospherics seeping into every pore. The title track builds with fizzing hi-hats, gentle percussive breaks, shimmying instrumentals and builds into a beautiful roller, full of warm bass and murmuring subs. "Arctique" is the perfect accompaniment - full of dreamy melodies, mellifluous SFX and booming bass. Stick on and relax and pretend it's a summer's evening - irresistibly good.

Review: If dreamy, ethereal, lullaby D&B is your thing then look no further than this release from Flowrian on Fokuz which epitomizes this certain strain of 170 - 175 bpm music. Ironically entitled "Back To Reality", this is a floaty excursion, with tripping breaks providing the backbone with twinkling SFX and soft pads. "Love In Your Eyes" is an equally enchanting piece with rippling keys, warm undulating bass and enunciated breaks.

Review: Flowrian steps up for the Memorized EP - a four-piece journey into modern day liquid D&B compromising of hushed, lucid melodies, gentle ticking breaks and soulful vocals. First up, Flowrian rides solo for opener "Balanced" with its gnarly b-line juxtaposed against swirling rhythms and delicate SFX, then it's on to "Recharged" - a stepping, shimmying number with plenty of mellifluous tones. Teaming up with La Meduza for the final two tracks, "Flow Back" is all nostalgia-steeped sounds and bongo beats with jungle chirrups and pervasive exoticism, whilst "Inside (2010 Remix)" rounds things off nicely with a more uplifting, dancefloor vibe.
