Review: Dutch DJ/producer Franky Rizardo returns to his very own LTF Records with two stunning new tracks. Review: It's that time of year again, when the industry's finest head en masse to one of the biggest events in global dance music - WMC. As always, the Toolroom family will be a known presence throughout the week-long festivities, and here's a sneak preview of the future classics they'll be dropping at this year's parties in The Magic City. Label chief Mark Knight naturally kicks things off (in collaboration with Mason) on the sweltering funky house of "Givin' Up", label stalwart Maxinne teams up with Chicago veteran Gene Farris on the deep tribal workout "Our House", the ascendant Carly Wilford & Anelisa Lamola keep on with the uplifting vocal house energy on "We Rise" while the always impressive GotSome teams up with Kokiri for the Inner City-inspired "Big Time Love" (feat Tasty Lopez) plus the welcome addition of Kittball Records boss Juliet Sikora with Tini Gessler on the high tech minimal of "Tidy Up" among many others. Review: Flying Dutchman Franky Rizardo has reached another high with his new killer for Barcelona's always reliable Stereo. The Tempo EP is indeed, like its name may suggest, at a faster one - with the main room at peak-time in mind. He's set a particular standard after releases on top labels like Rejected, Circus and 8 bit. "I'm Feeling" gets properly slinky and hypnotic with its dubby chords and strict rhythms all working together in tunnelling fashion. The title track up next chugs along like a steam train and reaches near tribal moments with its groove-driven rhythmicity - engineered for proper heads down moments on the dancefloor.

Review: Impeccably groomed Dutchman Franky Rizardo returns with some surefire main room tech house on Nic Fanciulli's always reliable Saved imprint. Starting out with the rolling, vocal led groove "Get Some Love" which is heavy on the bass and tough on the rhythm, this one's restrained enough to lead into, or out of the peak time. Second offering "Power Flanger" goes deeper and has a more organic feel with its warm bassline, dusty hi-hats and just like it says on the tin; a flanged drum loop which carries the track nicely.
