Review: It is well known to expect something unusual now whenever we take in a new feature length project from Gantz, who definitely does not disappoint on this vibrant five track display with Innamind Recordings. We open up with the cinematic synthy jitters and snapped rhythms of 'Axxon N', which immediately instills a slightly eerie feel to the project, followed by the haunted bass drones and shimmering panning of 'Sleepless Elite'. From here, 'Pusher Acid' pushes us to the edge of sonic reason with a high pitched yet super crunchy arrangement, focussing on small pockets of sonic mischief, before 'Chiral' lets syncopation run riot as an array of delicate yet devious drum punches meander through the heart of a very smooth creation. The bookey drum stutters and glitchy synthetic textures of 'Avert Your Eyes Bass' then give us a pulsating scenario, rounding off one of the more accomplished bodies of Gantz work we have heard in recent times.
