Review: Geddes delivers some moody house heat on Man. There is an understated sense of menace throughout this release, with the Murmur boss travelling through troubled estates at night to get inspiration. "Controversy" is a jacking house track underpinning screeching sirens, while Geddes also takes influence from the UK's rave-hardcore-bass continuum on "Perks n Mini", where ravey riffs and a booming bass dominate the arrangement. The other tracks are more restrained, despite the fact that "Uncanny" is based on slamming drums. On "Soul Of Real", he shows how he is maturing as a producer, with a funk bassline supporting a soulful vocal sample.
