Review: Fresh off releases for Diynamic and Sasha's Last Night On Earth, German duo Gheist are back with a riveting outing on their local institution Watergate - and if this doesn't mean they've now hit the big time then we don't know what does! The Zukunft EP is a fitting name for its futurist house excursions, for example the euphoric and tough rolling tech house anthem by the name of "Disclose Yours" with its hands in the air piano melody which will really get in your head, followed by the title track with its moody electro breaks that is sure to get dome drama happening on the dancefloor.

Review: Like its' predecessors, this year's edition of Armada Deep's annual Miami WMC themed compilation is an absolute treasure trove of dancefloor treats for DJs who enjoy the more melodious, soaring and electronic end of the house spectrum. It boasts no less than 40 full-length, floor-friendly cuts, including tracks from some of the biggest names in the game. With such an epic track listing, picking highlights is tough. Our personal favourites include Dixon's atmospheric, crackling and beautiful remix of Amberoom's "Kastell", the grandiose breakdowns, swirling electronics and Balearic guitar flourishes of Tube, Berger and Alegant's "Cure", the rolling warmth of the Brett Johnson Dub of Infinity Ink's "Rushing Back", and the pitched-down throb of Moscoman's celebration remix of Three Drives on a Vinyl's vintage trance classic "Greece 2000".

Review: After almost eight years as a platform for label chief Sasha's own productions, as well as new and established artists: Last Night On Earth is a global success. LNOE 100 honours both the artists and the fans who have made the label an industry leader, with each featured artist selecting others to remix and inspiring new collaborations throughout the compilation. Highlights not limited to: head honcho Sasha's inaugural release "Cut Me Down" reworked by Rekids' Radio Slave into an ethereal epic, Brit electronica hero Max Cooper receives an awesome rendition by the Hotflush affiliated Locked Groove on "Careless" (feat Get People) while ascendant Bristolian Dubspeeka gives his signature moody treatment to Ejeca's "HiRollin". Finally, label newcomer Baile channels the the vibe of legends Boards Of Canada on his mesmerising rework of GHEIST'S "Somerset".

Review: Ten years of tech house powerhouse Exploited's exploits - pardon the pun! A born and bred Berliner, Shir Khan started the label in his home city in 2007. The imprint now plays host to a who's who in the current tech-house climate - including Adana Twins, Doctor Dru, Claptone, Joyce Muniz, Urulu and Cocolores to name a few. Its artists have been receiving full support from tastemakers such as Pete Tong, Soul Clap, Wolf & Lamb and Kraak & Smaak. All the usual suspects appear here: many golden oldies and even some newbie surprises too - perfect for the Christmas season and to forecast trends moving forward into 2018. To prove their relevance, they've served up a whopper of a compilation: over five dozen tracks showcasing their illustrious discography. We are certain that these are timeless grooves and will prove to be just as relevant another decade.

Some of these go as far back as 2009! Take for instance Malente & Dex feat. Analogik's "Gipsy Kings" which homed in that whole loopy latin house trend - popularised by similar tunes like "We No Speak Americano". Swedish electro house dons Zoo Brazil appear as well, with their 2012 dancefloor hit "Rock The House", then get deep and slinky with Moodymanc's 2013 sleeper hit "Joy" (Ralph Lawson Dub). They were even doing jazzy/dusty deep house as far back as 2011, like on Homework's "Whipped Cream". Remember Serge Santiago's remix of Murphy Jax's "Let's Get To It" featuring the inimitable Mike Dunn? It's here!

But when best describing the label's success thus far, we'd have to give honorable mentions to the true staples of the label. The legendary Chicagoan James Curd (formerly one half of the Greenskeepers) has kept on going from his new home of Adelaide, Australia and served up some of his best work in years. The emotive and bittersweet "Forever My Friend" is just one example. Likewise, Belgium's Compuphonic appears several times also - his recent hit from earlier this year "Metropolis" appears in all its soulful and evocative glory. Here's to another 10 guys, cheers!

Review: The Nu Breed series was conceived back in the early 00s as a means of showcasing upcoming DJs of that era, such as Danny Howells and Lee Burridge. Now that the series has re-launched, the same concept applies and the latest DJ to feature is German spinner Oliver Schories. With a focus on deep, emotional house music, he weaves an intoxicating path that moves from the slurred vocals of Rico Puestel's "Volute" and the melancholic piano keys of Black Light Smoke's "Fire in My Head" into driving, techy tracks like Jamie Trench's "It Never Stops" and Oliver Deutschmann's hypnotic minimalism, "Control", before climaxing with Chateau Flight's sprawling remake of AtJazz's "It's Complete". Here's to the next generation of new breed DJs.

Review: Gheist is a Berlin based conspiracy. The project was founded at Riverside Studio during the last years and based on a deep friendship between the members. The goal is to connect the sound and vibe of an electronica band and the clarity of an energetic DJ set. Appearing here for Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint, they start the EP off in great style with the moody and evocative dancefloor drama of "Rufos" and then get into the nine minute long epic "Final Chords" causing some tunnelling moments with its darkly hypnotic groove assisted by some wonky Life & Death style synth leads. Finally "Man In The Tree" saves the best for last on this Innervisions style serving of hi-tech soul that's sure geared for some life affirming moments on the dancefloor.

Review: Since making their debut for Exploited last autumn, Gheist has largely made good on their promise to "connect the vibe and sound of an electronica band and the clarity and energy of a DJ set". "Salvation", the title track from this expansive third EP, drags their fusion sound further towards the dancefloor, layering long, stretched-out, slightly foreboding melodies and a hazy vocal across a shuffling, Innervisions style tech-house groove. "Last Night In Paris" takes a similar approach, adding in more melancholic piano flourishes and a jaunty bassline, while "Vento", which is accompanied by a looser and quirkier "Alternative Mix" is a deep house throbber built around ghostly chords and xylophone style melodies.
