Review: A once legendary duo turned solo project of Antoine Harispuru - supplying hit records for Bang Gang 12 Inches, Gomma and Multi Culti - the Barcelona-based Frenchman refocuses his attention to La Belle (that he co-founded). With the help of a little Kompakt magic, this Tokoyo No Kuni single sees remixes from Michael Mayer, Wolf Muller and Nicola Cruz! The original sees a pumping electro-disco groove meet link up with spaghetti western space rock sound and Tokyo disco 'the year 3000' aesthetic. Wolf Muller adds to the vocal spectrum and percussion section is his remix with Michael Mayer turning in a 3AM post-punk version Tokyo-Disco-3000 original. And for that wild card inclusion is a downtempo, sparse and trippy remake by Cruz.

Review: 2019 is shaping up to be a busy year for Golden Bug aka Antoine Harispuru. Following on from an EP on Ivan Smagge's Les Disques De La Mort, he now drops this idiosyncratic release. The title track features stop-start beats and heavy use of the echo chamber as an eccentric male rambles away in the background. "Tamba", featuring Viktoria Wehrmeister on vocals, resounds to strung out tribal drums, while on "Yama", Harispuru delivers an immersive, dubbed out sound scape. The label has chosen the remixers wisely, with Marc Pinol turning "Trigger" into a wigged out acid track, followed by Krikor's broken beat version of "Yama".

Review: Started as a duo, currently Golden Bug is the solo project of French producer Antoine Harispuru - now based in Barcelona. He is one of the founders of the label La Belle, a label that duo In Fields have appeared on also. They are a London-based project formed by Ed Cox and Raoul Marks. The Bones EP features the slo-mo cosmic psychedelia of the title track (featuring guitarist Diego Hdez from Santa Cruz de Tenerife), this is followed by the deeply tripped out ethnic vibes of "Shakes" and a moody cold wave-infused noir treatment of "Bones" by the ever impressive Fantastic Twins out of Berlin.
