Review: Boulder-based badman Griz delivers his fourth album and it's - without argument - his finest work to date. A firing future funk document that's steeped in instrumentation and obese, floor-focussed dynamics and grooves so powerful they could bring an end to all comas, his organic signature is matched toe-to-toe with bold muscular production and anti-formulaic subversion. Highlights include the authentic 70s blacksploitation funk strutter "Get Down", the smoky, lazer-rasing Pretty Lights-esque "It's All Good" and the wholesome classic hip-hop jam "For The Love" with Talib Kweli. Say it loudly, say it proudly... Griz has gone next level on this one.
