Review: Dutch powerhouse Delsin bunkers down for another year with a choice selection of tracks taken from the label's marque artists, regulars and newcomers. The compilation showcases the label's tastemaking approach to embracing a somewhat unidentified strands of dub electro, a new and developing sound harnessed it seems by Delsin this year. Claro Intelcto slathers his track "Two Thousand" with more of the obscene basslines we love the British artist for (with a lighter alternative to be found on "Messages") while Conforce plays with pixelation and subtle subsonic electro pulses in "OI". Gunnar Haslam rivals Porter-Ricks-deepness in his track "Cacique De Poyais" while label boss Peel Seamus warms things up with Detroit-styled keys and synths to offset the deeper, melodic and shimmering dub of new talent His Master's Voice.

Review: One of the first labels to release Gunnar Haslam's material back in 2014, Delsin deserves praise for being so quick to tune in to his left of centre talent. This relationship continues now with Cacique De Poyais. The title track is a sparse, tripped out affair that unravels over the course of 13 minutes, its tonal bleeps and sequences twisting and turning in a seductive manner. "Port Sommeil" adopts a similar approach and applies it to the dance floor, with a glitchy, detuned groove underpinning the warbling frequency shifts. Rounding off this idiosyncratic release is "Azote Du Guano", where Haslam ups the pace and puts a focus on chiming bells.

Review: Efdemin's 2008 mix CD on Curle, Carry On - Pretend We're Not In The Room showed that he was as adept and inventive behind the decks as he was in the studio. A decade later, the same holds true for the follow-up mix, Naif, but this time the boundaries are more blurred. Consisting of 29 unreleased tracks - 10 from the German producer himself and 19 from like-minded artists - the selection runs the gamut, from the hazy, abstract tones of WaWuWe's "Beams" and DIN's noisy "Glide", into hypnotic dance floor techno such as "Laveline", Efdemin's bleep-y collaboration with Konrad Springer, the glorious mid-tempo minimal roller "Watte" - recorded as Sollmann & Gurtler and then 'versioned' by Efdemin and expansive dub tracks from Pom Pom and Marco Shuttle.

Review: Kalaatsakia is Haslam's fourth album and sees the US producer flit between underground techno and more experimental sounds. This approach is audible from the get-go with the angular, jacking "Broadcast" followed by the weird, dissected tones and blips of "Kalapuyan" and the atmospheric white noise of "Nxbound". Despite moving between these diverse bases, there is also some middle ground and the aptly named "Transdisciplinary" and the more brooding "Kjolle" are hypnotic electro workouts. In the main though, this is a work of extremes. This is best characterised by the contrast between the melancholic synths and head nodding beats on "Rservoir" and the storming analogue techno of "Istvaeonic".

Review: Despite being operational for almost two decades, Delsin has a higher hit rate than nearly any other techno label. This is audible on Cameron 10, an eight-track compilation from the Dutch imprint. The Invariants deliver deep, atmospheric techno for the floor on "Ritzy", while Artefakt's contribution, "Anemic Cinema", is a reflective broken beat affair. Delsin has coaxed a track form Claro Intelecto, who delivers the bass-heavy but mysterious electro of "Hurt". Newcomers also get a platform, with Sentomea dropping the slow-burning dub house of "Ease of Life" and Shlomo impressing on "The Quest", a tunnelling techno groove that also features hushed angel chants. If that wasn't enough Giegling's Vril and Gunnar Haslam complete the package with bleep-laden and lo-fi tracks respectively.

Review: Haslam is one of the more prolific techno artists, with four albums - three under his own name and one as Romans with Tin Man - to his credit in the past four years. As Scale demonstrates though, a high volume of releases has not had a detrimental impact on the quality of his work. The title track on his latest outing for Bunker shows why he is such a talented artist. Despite easily passing the 130bpm mark, its combination of bleeding acid and whiplash percussion is imbued with an innate sense of funk, in the same manner as early Cristian Vogel or vintage Communique releases. There's also a real treat for Bunker fans with Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore team up to turn "Scale" into a throbbing underground groove.

The tracklist features artists of the partner labels under the !K7 umbrella such as Turbo, AUS Music, Mobilee, Mister Saturday Night and Hypercolour. Each edition explores a different musical theme but this first installment, naturally, is all about the club! Highlights here include Midland's recent hit "Blush", Maya Jane Coles' funky afterhours tech house jam "Not Listening" (from a few years ago), KiNK's roaring remix of Kerrier District's (Luke Vibert) "Techno Disco" and Lauer's recent feelgood number "Killian" showing off his knack for classic retro vibes like no other.

Review: Since making his debut in 2013, techno producer Gunnar Haslam has barely put a foot wrong. Here he returns to Delsin - a label he first graced in 2014 - with more left-of-centre, industrial-tinged dancefloor jams and otherworldly ambient explorations. Opener "Athabaskan Languages" is raw, rough and ready, and places the action around the kind of hard-to-describe rhythm that borrows heavily from the wonky time signatures of jazz. "Sirenik" and "Hellegat" are more straightforward techno affairs, with just the right balance between rolling grooves and dark, stripped back intensity. The EP also includes a superb chunk of blissful, deep space ambient in the shape of "Sarsi".

Review: Having surprised a few with the far-out nature of his thrillingly ambient Let One Hundred Flowers Bloom release on Mister Saturday Night, Gunnar Haslam returns to dancefloor pastures with this follow-up for the esteemed NYC imprint. Opener "Poshlost" is trippy and melancholic, with dusty, dub techno-influenced chords ricocheting around a delay-laden sound-space, underpinned by a simple-but-effective rhythm. "Margareten" ups the intensity, with ragged acid lines and a relentless techno groove providing contrast to the deepness of his chords. Finally, "Replacement" sits somewhere between the two tracks, with rolling techno chords, fuzzy textures, gently building melodies and fizzing percussion creating a rush-inducing mood.

Review: As 2013 has progressed, the output of Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S label has become increasingly challenging, delivering a fierce blend of distorted darkroom techno and gritty industrial fuzz. Morelli is nothing if not open-minded, though, and this second label compilation - a follow-up to 2012's acclaimed American Noise, similarly featuring a disc of label highlights and a CD of unreleased bits - perfectly showcases the full gamete of the imprint's analogue-heavy sound. So, alongside the intoxicating techno drones of Svengalisghost and Vereker, we get the fluid electronics and footwork-tempo rhythms of Samantha's Vacation, the humid, dubwise electronics of Terekke, the wide-eyed goodness of Daywalker & CF, and the psychedelic synth-wave-meets-techno of Xosar. Oh, and the humid tropical warmth of Beautiful Swimmers' previously unheard "The Zoo".

Review: The media-shy Gunnar Haslam first introduced himself to the wider world of electronic music with an album on L.I.E.S. and since then he's gone on to collaborate with Tin Man as Romans while releasing records for Mister Saturday Night and Chicago label Argot. Gunnar Haslam's Delsin debut also marks the onset of a new series from the Dutch label entitled Cameron with fellow L.I.E.S. graduate Voiski and Shlomo also pencilled in to contribute. "Ataxia No Logos" is an EP highlight which matches the booming sound Claro Intelecto delivered on his Stanza EP, while "Corridor Metaphysics" is a smooth, DeepChord-like production mixed with 909 hi-hats. "Dunsinane Hill" is a superb deep house production saturated in fuzzy overdrive while "Discrete Markov Dub" sounds similar to music Unbroken Dub has released on Rawax.
