Review: Beijing beatsmith Guzz comes correct with his debut long-one. If you've been following his antics on Soundcloud you'll already have an idea of what's in store - polyrhythmic ponderations, off-kilter conjurations and deep bass murmurations all brought together with traditional instrumentation. From the insistent almost techno-like conga and light synths on "Duet" to the dense overlays of steel chimes on "An Elephant In The Jungle" by way of the tripped out horn spells of "Fengxia", Guzz paints in big broad strokes that require time to take in. Guzzle up the full picture.
