Review: This compilation celebrating ten years of the venerable German label shows that its modus operandi doesn't focus exclusively on trance melodies and low slung electro house. It's certainly true that Get Physical excels at these two variants as the eerie synths and rumbling bass of MANDY's "Word Don't Come Easy" demonstrate, but this only tells part of the story. Soul Clap's "Incoming Bitch (Get Low!)" sees tripped out acid added to the low-slung grooves, while Fuckpony's "Cell Phone Hit" is all jazzed out minimal weirdness. DJ T surprises with the string-soaked "Philly", but he can't compete for sheer out there-ness with Raz Ohara's "El Zahir", a mad mixture of warbling ethnic vocals and dense, organic drums.

Review: Last year's inaugural Get Physical Tracks compilation did a good job flagging up artists to watch in 2012. This follow-up, featuring a seamless mix from Manchester-based production duo H2 and 10 unmixed cuts, aims to do similar. H2's own shuffling "Tape Machine" kicks off proceedings, before the collection wanders deeper into typical Get Physical territory (think wonky, pitched-down vocals, darkroom riffs and touchy-feely grooves). For those who enjoy the label's output, there's plenty to enjoy, from the sweet synths, soulful vocals and lazy grooves of Israel Vich's "Skalitzer", to the subtle, bleep-heavy tech-house fusion of Shea Burke's "Dave The Rave".

Review: Thought that Cecille was all about tool house? Think again. "Low Freq" could be Chicken Lips or a mellow take on the recent Kontra release by Frak, with a low slung bassline supporting an ominous vocal. Likewise, "Keep out the Red" sees H2 deploy a dark electro bass over mid-tempo drums and a daft stoner vocal sample. There are vocals throughout Life and it adds to the party atmosphere. From the rapper chatting over police sirens on "Bass, Kick And Roll" through the sexy female vocal that augments the soft-focus groove of "Break It Down" to the call and response narrative about partying for days on end over the rolling rhythm of "Cameron's Quest",

Review: The ADE has become one of the most important dates in the international electronic music diary, and if this compilation is anything to go on, it taps into the current musical climate. Sampler contains more than its fair share of loppy house and tribal workouts - contributions from Gabriel Ben and Lee Picton's insane whooshing stand out - but it's the interpretations of classic sounds that really impress the most. Greg Fenton's "Revolver" is a chugging techno groove, its heavy beats underscoring a massive air raid siren. Mark Holmes's dub remix of Tuunee's "I'll be (right there)" is even more intense, with widescreen chords and a massive Resse-style bassline combining for an epic slice of dramatic techno.
