Review: When we see both Hans Glader & Soxx joining forces, especially on the fantastic Steppers Club imprint, it's all hands on deck as this wicked combination of some of garage music's finest delivers some flavoursome gifts. We open up with the title track 'Take Me Away', a gorgeous amalgamation of digitised sonic landscapes, wrapped up in pulsing drum bounces and distant saxophone action, leading towards a futuristic breakdown that will shake you senseless. On the flipside, Hans rolls out on a more solo-base endeavour, tying together whistling synthesiser runs and bulbous drum bubbles for a fantastic B-side entitled 'Nintendo'. Stunning work as per from two absolute flagpoles of modern garage culture.

Review: As always with The Wub Club, Forca has gone out of his way to unleash some beautiful garage originality for us, inviting the super-potent sounds of Hans Glader in for some international gloss across three spicy originals. We begin with 'You Can Dance', which takes a couple of tidy vocal samples and Georgie's wicked inputs to create another groovy roller for the Glader catalogue. Next, the shimmering drum skips and high ended percussive plucks of 'Mad 4 U' ups the tempo of the project with some groovy maneuvers, followed by the stunning soundscaping and general musicality of 'Olvidado' which breathes a final blow of life into an already awesome drop!

Review: The Local Action crew are back at it again, revisiting one of their most popular original releases in recent times as DJQ & Hans Glader join forces once again, this time to celebrate their 'Thief In The Night' original with two scorching remixes. First up, Salute arrives with a blissful recreation, unleashing his super-uplifting style of dance music production with a tasty rework indeed. The second remix comes to us from the ever-dependable Al Wootton, who mellows the whole vibe of the tune out with a down-tempo, chord-laiden rethink, taking it to a different dimension entirely. Awesome work!

Review: It has been one hell of a year for Hans Glader, the LA-based garage wizard whose sound continues to conquer global stages. He returns here to the legendary Night Bass imprint for a full four track display of his unique approach to 2-steppy flavours, kicking off with the luscious pad textures and distant saxophone lines of 'Culture'. From here the sumptuous vibes continue as the incredible soundscaping and general harmonic structures of 'Lumen' deliver a truly beautiful setting, followed by the more sub-heavy dips and weaves of 'Dimelo' alongside Night Bass founder: AC Slater. For us, this was already Hans Glader's strongest outing to date, but that's before 'Set You Free' elevates the whole project to an entirely new plateau with its sweeping string-like leads and groovy drum switches. Incredible work!

Review: Now this is a link up that we hadn't imagined, but now we see it, boy does it make sense. The team over at Local Action are known for being some of the most creative when it comes to building releases, so to see them link together DJQ and Hans Glader for a super tidy new single makes perfect sense. The track itself takes the title 'Thief In The Night' and is a certified belter, focussing on some genius vocal sampling and placement alongside a smooth, well rounded combination of soothing chord and lively drums to give us a tasty dish indeed. It's an international collaboration that once again shows just how popular garage music has become around the world in 2021!

Review: It's always exciting to catch up with the 24hr Garage Girls imprint to see what they have been up to, with this latest drop proving to be a certified gem from the second it landed in our new releases box. They unveil a powerful new collection for their first compilation drop of 2021, including music from heavyweight garage faces such as Champion, MPH, Tuff Culture, Vital Techniques and more, whilst also introducing some of the most exciting new faces in Hans Glader, Oppidan & Zefer. The nine-track selection is seriously impressive, with Shosh's own 'Stick It Up' original proving to be one of the initial highlights, alongside the super colourful melodic slides and scatty drum work of 'Guard The Barrier' from Breaksmiths. Incredible stuff from an incredible team.
