Review: Rumour has it our kid Harls named this EP 'Circular' after the A406 North Circular ring road around London. Word on the street is that he named it after the shape of his favourite coin (a 10p). Frankly we don't care either way. Not when the music's as vibey as this. Once again flexing his deeper, more leftfield side, highlights include the woozy introspective wonk of 'Bring Me Down', the smoking 140 sizzles of 'Close Your Eyes' and the interesting momentum, twists and cool neck-snap funk of 'New Direction'. The dreamy-but-punchy title track has a lot of sass to it, too. You'd be loopy not to jump on this Circular.

Review: Avast all ye creepy crawlies and slimy sentient beings, Harley D is on a mission and he's come to strictly crush, squish and splatter with this massive six track session. As always, Harley is in full flavour mode as he tears through the D&B spectrum. At his deepest he purrs with slinky bubblers like 'Cold Wind', at his heaviest he's grizzling and switching to the slippery vibes of 'Creatures'. Elsewhere we get our swagger on to 'Dungeon Master', get freaky to 'Experiment' and get up to a whole load of animal antics in between. Woof woof!

It's in the very best of company as the D-meister licks up all kinds of shots: 'Back To The Future' is a militant screechy stepper, 'Bang' goes all sci-fi funk and fury, 'Automatic' brings a little Daft Punkian nod to the vibe while 'Trouble Maker' ends on a ruff and curmudgeonly one. Usually throwing around mad energy and big riff dynamics, 'In The Darkness' shows the other side of the UK south coast talent as he strips things right back to a place of tension throughout the EP. The title track is all about those big deep rumbling subs, 'Tracers' gets a purring contemporary neuro growl on while 'Questions' plays good cop/ bad cop with your soul, brain and dancing feet. Right now though he's on OnlyDrums with five examples of absolute bassline blazery. Highlights range from the sudden switches and shocking 4x4 finale of 'Crisis Zone' to the trippier, bad dream flexes of 'Hide N Seek'. Review: Bubbling under the surface and honing his craft for several years, Harley D has come into his own in recent times with killer thumper bumpers on Serial Killaz, Cre8 and now another one here for Bristol's Invicta Audio. The Views EP features the neurofunk attitude of the title track, the dark cinematic atmosphere of "Run Away" (VIP) which is reminiscent of classic Photek, while the emotive steppa "Ardour" provides something deeper as does the intelligent drum 'n' bass of "Vision".

Review: Greasier than a biker's helmet, oilier than a hell's angel's leather waistcoat, Harley D revs up his engines once again for riff slap-abouts. Linking with Burnzy on the lead, 'Say Nothing' brings a deeper lyrical edge Harley hasn't shown too much of so far but hopefully will show more of in the future. Elsewhere the young UK talent gets jiggy with the razor sharp bass textures as the likes of 'Switch' goes all euphoric, 'This Is' brings in human textures on the fills for added funk while 'What You Gonna Do' ends the EP on a roughhousing jungle vibe with more big vocal elements and some grizzly breakbeat flow. Review: Harley D rides into Timeless Audio with the Movements EPs that boldly takes off with the orchestral R&B crescendos of its title track that so brilliantly drops into a wickedly stripped-back groove. With some jungle rhythms paying homage to the night lights of the UK' capital in "London", something shuffling, stepped-up and punctuated hits the spot in "You Are Now Free To Move". Dope. Higher tempo UKG energy steps up in "The Way Your Moving" for a more soulful number with sweet vocals to boot next to the disjointed beat scene vibe of "Down" - think Flying Lotus 'Tea Leaf Dreaming" - drum and bass style. Review: With tracks on the likes of Faded, Invicta and Pick N Mix all within the last four weeks, Harley D now jumps on board the good ship Serial Killaz with an even bigger collection of total, unashamed filthlets. Review: Harley D is back, using his force to compel you to pull ugly bassfaces and throw your drink with an EP that doesn't hold back. It's not the kindest on the ears but then again its not supposed to be, it's a monograph in hard-hitting sonics and dastardly tones. 'Evacuation' is undergirded by a booming snare drum and percussive clarity, but the action happens in the steadily melodic but still raucous bassline, a pitched-up monstrosity of dancefloor proportions. The others feature more big synths, but with emphasis instead on forward movement and a roughshod approach to crafting textures with a focus on sonic destruction - top release.

Review: Bubbling under the surface, honing his craft for several years, Harley D has come into his own in recent times with killer thumper bumpers on Serial Killaz, Cre8 and now this savage package on Azzah B's Invicta Audio. Whether he's paying homage to Senor Souped Up, the synth or the blood plasma we're not sure but 'The Serum' covers all of Harley's corners. 'Runaway' purrs with a really unusual sounding bass tone and far-away voices in a way that could be compared to Halogenix. 'One More Night' flips between bighorn blasts and galaxy-bounding liquid cascades. 'Can't Say No' is bubbling, stripped-back sexy D&B. Last but not least we have the title track 'The Serum'. Laced with cavernous amounts of space and chest-rattling breaks, it's the ugliest, gnarliest cut of the bunch... And it leaves us wanting more. Bring it on Harley.

Review: Everyone loves a proper compilation, right? What's better than having a range of artists in one condensed place? It's essentially an album with the ease of listening of a single, so we're all for it. Invicta have come out with the second edition of their one year anniversary celebration and it's packed full of jump-up bangers, one of those albums which doesn't try to be cool or sophisticated by chucking in a few fillers for the sake of diversity - it's just hard stuff here. It works great, with Harley D's 'Forever' the highlight, its jungle influences blending well with a punchy sub-bass and gargles jump up synth tears, a properly stepping track that just oozes class and shows how much Harley D's production has come on in recent times. Sick album guys.
