Review: The artwork for this release is typically Souped Up with its upbeat, cartoonish style and bright, saturated colours. The music is an equally pleasant assault on the senses and assault is the right word because, with Harry Shotta in tow, Serum & Benny V are launching an attack through sound. 'Let's Go' is quintessential Serum & Benny and the punchy, stabbing arrangement is complimented ideally by Shotta, who's renowned flow floats across the top end of the range to provide extra ammunition for the battle below. Proper Souped Up bit of sickness.
Review: Gino & Harry Shotta just dropped a fresh EP called "It's Mad / Punished" on Crucast. Kicking things off with "It's Mad," this track hits you with an instant surge of energy right out the gate. The thumping basslines and infectious groove just grab hold of you and don't let go until the ride is over. Moving to "Punished," and we're in a darker, grimier zone. The eerie melodies and nasty basslines create this tense, suspenseful vibe that keeps you on your toes. But as the track builds and builds, it just explodes into this intense barrage of hard-hitting bass and beats that leaves you feeling it deep down.
Review: Pop your corks, pop your clogs, pop your peeps: SASASAS return with their first banger of the year and it's a pretty wild ride. Featuring the whole gang - Phantasy, Macky Gee, Harry Shotta, Skibadee and Shabba D - it's got all the energy you need to kickstart your 2022: A diesel powered bass riff, fast-lane MC spittage from all the crew and sudden twists into melodic and euphoric mischief. Naughty. Pop goes the weasel.

Review: It's the Harry Shotta album we've all been waiting for... A pure D&B LP. Taking off from where 'Spanner In The Works' left us last year, it's a full throttle excursion dedicated to all flavours of 170 music. Featuring kindred MC spirits such as Shabba D, Skibadee, Dreps, Patch Edison and written almost purely on lockdown, it captures the frustration and energy of the time and flips it into something truly positive. Highlights include the bubbly early 2000s bassline bubbles of "Facts Only", the cheeky horns and hefty hook of "Do Me" (with Dreps) and the emotional revelations and sharp-tongued spittage of "Never Knew You Like That" (with Skiba) and that's just for starters. Harry is a man possessed right now.
