Review: In all honesty, we are running out of words to describe the pure domination we are seeing from the Duploc camp, especially with their output thriving heavily in 2023's unique dubstep ecosystem. For this latest offering, they celebrate their 100th official drop with a regal arrangement of guests, including the likes of Lost, Wraz, Rugby, Ternion Sound, ENiGMA Dubz and more, all of whom have pulled out their weightiest weapons in combined celebration. If you wanted a full on display of the majesty currently at work within dubstep's deep catacombs, then look no further than this epic selection, with our favourites including the ground mulching bass melodies of Hebbe's 'The Insider', next to Mystic State's warming rework of 'Voice' from Opus, and of course Hamdi's rave-ready synth action explored within 'Immortal'. There aren't many collectives doing more than the Duploc team right now.

Review: It's always a fine day when we see a link up like this come together, as the incredibly consistent label works of Duploc return to business, this time welcoming the enigmatic production mastery of Hebbe, one of the most creative dubstep warriors out right now. We open up with a jittery slide through unorthodox percussive rhythms and gritty reese sweeps in 'Quotha', which immediately sets the tone for a quirky EP feel, chased up rapidly by incredibly crunchy sound design and fluid synthetics of 'RSNT', again landing on the side of the unpredictable. From here, 'Float Yourself' sees Hebbe release a much more LFO-driven arrangement, focussing on heavy reverns and a nasty lead bassline, before 'Watch Out' sees us out in a blaze of beautiful sub energy, switching between blooming LFO stabs and sharp drum crunches to see us out with a smash.

Review: Across the last 10 years, there aren't many platforms that have given as much energy, time and dedication towards the dubstep scene than Duploc, a platform and entity committed to the betterment and advancement of the original dubwise sound. This collection is a fabulous showcase of the strength they posses as both a label and promotional platform, with 10 of the best delivering absolute weapons, from the swampy bass reverberations of Infekt's 'Kefir', to the Bond-esc bass grooves of Tactics from Ternion Sound and dizzying soundscaping of Juss B's 'Can't Sleep'. The overall project is just dripping in quality, with the likes of ENiGMA Dubz, Oxossi, Mungk, Smith. and Ourman all hard hitting creations. Our highlights have to include the metallic masterclass of Distance's 'Vigilance', showcasing one of the scenes eternal heavyweights, next to the slickly designed sub crunches and bouncy percussive overloads of Hebbe's 'Quotha'. Incredible work and an incredible way to celebrate such an important institution.

Review: Well when we say Duploc are on fire, we couldn't be more accurate than on this latest link up as ENiGMA Dubz is joined by a fabulous host of friends for two incredible remix creations. First up, ENiGMA himself steps forward on remix duty for 'Wayside', originally crafted by the combined talents of Hebbe, Melle & Mr.K. He twists and reformats this one into a haunted basin of horror-core synth work and delicate drum tap dances, giving us something truly unique. On the flip, the inevitable Ternion Sound arrive just in time to send 'The Eyes' through the remix blender, unleashing an earth shattering combo of bass pulses and flamboyant LFO swipes, providing a potent match for the A-side. Awesome stuff!

Review: Duploc's run of top quality drops has been pretty unrivalled, with their catalogue boasting some of the finest dubstep originals to land over the lockdown period. This latest link up see's Hebbe take the driving seat, who for us, is one of the most widely underrated production talents out there. We kick off with the more stripped, LFO driven percussive drifts of 'Up Town Dub', a throwback of a steppers original, showcasing the more old-school side of Hebbe's sound. Next, 'RSNT' takes us down a much more systematic avenue, smashing together tremendous 808 pulses and drippy drums for a masterclass in dungeon-influenced production. Finally, J:Kenzo arrives just in time to give us a fabulous rework of 'Up Town Dub', taking it down an even more dubwise diversion, rounding off the EP nicely.

Review: Everytime we see Hebbe land in the release pile, we have come to expect good things, with his track record in recent times being nothing short of exceptional. The Basskruit team have unleashed a couple of gems with this latest two tracker it would seem as 'Low Land Dub' gives us a taste of the more dubwise side of Hebbe's character, combining colourful, percussive drum rhythms with subtle reesey textures and an unpredictable soundscapes. The flip side gives us 'Jah Seen Rastafari Dub', an even more mysterious exploration into distant dubstep themes and warbling low-ends, giving us beautifully designed steppers textures throughout!

Review: It's always an exciting time to see new music from Hebbe, who for us, remains one of the most underrated producers to emerge from the newschool dubstep wave. This brand new two tracker shows exactly why as we first dive into the stunning percussive displays and super-crunchy sub arrangements of 'Quiche' which are then greeted by some seriously regal melodic twists further down the line. Following this, the pace slows significantly with 'Looters', which deploys swampy bass drones and choppy drum slices to give us some really cool variation. Amazing work!

Review: To look back over the last 18 months of Duploc releases would take us hours and hours, but we are sure we wouldn't be disappointed to do so. Their consistency and efficiency has set a fantastic example to the rest of the dubstep scene, which is why we couldn't wait to dive into this brand new mega compilation entitled 'Duuplates Collection'. Featuring a tracklisting consisting of stepper heavyweights such as Rygby, Ternion Sound, Hebbe, Mr. K and more, we knew we were in for a treat from the off. The project is a goliath in its field showcasing twenty bombshells, certain to cause havoc in dances worldwide. Our immediate stand outs would have to include the crunchy drum slaps and hypnotic chime melodies of 'You Said' from ColtCuts, alongside the highly energetic vocal switches and lethal bass drives of 'Left Behind', a masterpiece from ENiGMA Dubz. Incredible work!

Review: Hang on, Hebbe, Melle, MR.K and ENiGMA Dubz all on one track together, no your ears do not deceive you, that is indeed the incredible new offering that Duploc have put on the table during these troubling times. Being one of the most versatile producers in the land, we often see ENiGMA floating around UKG and bass these days, but to see him back in his home-realm of deep dubstep is always a pleasure. He gets busy here with a disgusting rethink of 'Wayside', rebuilding the original elements from Hebbe, Melle and MR.K into a scrumptious chomper, packed full of spooky pads and grizzly warbling synthesizer fun.

Review: In a crowded dubstep and grime scene, there really is something that stands out about the consistency of Zha's White Peach imprint, who have struck gold again here with an expertly crafted four track masterclass from Hebbe. We begin with the soothing aquatic melodies and hypnotic sub pressure of the title track '3 Tabs' before landing on the darkened structure and haunting overtones of 'Appropriation'. Next we step into the super wingy excitement of 'IPA' which is driven by grizzly lead bass textures, before finishing up the EP with the nostalgic lfo movements and dubwise drum creations of 'Post Modern Dub'.

Review: The team at Circle Vision have set out and made a serious statement with this one, as their 'Various Visions' series returns for It's second helping with four fresh originals from four of the coldest in the dubstep scene right about now. We begin with D-Operation Drop who lands a heavyweight punch in 'Fried Chicken' before man of the minute: Zygos appears with a percussive heavy piledriver in 'BAtte noir'. Next up, Hebbe arrives on the scene with a haunted episode of bitcrushed leads and floating subs on 'Sixes & Sevens', before Mrshi sees the EP out in style with his triplet-driven scorcher 'Biter'.

Review: Within the ever strengthening dubstep expanse, the guys at Duloc have most certainly solidified their brand as one of the most forward thinking outlets. That couldn't be clearer when listening through the first volume of their 'Dupplates' series. We begin with the haunted LFOs of Hebbe's 'Watch Out', before Enigma Dubz gets to work on a colossal remix straight after. Track three is a serious swampy roller entitled 'Wayside' and comes to us from Melle, before Mr.K rounds up the project in style on 'Lemon Twist', a subbing piledriver of a riddim.

Review: After a thrilling set of EPs for imprints like DUPLOC and Holland's Subway, among others, HEBBE comes through on Artikal Music with three nutty dub skankers that reside on the steppier end of the hardcore continuum. "Skanking Alone" is a deep, cavernous wash-up of phazer glory and Eastern chiming, along with plenty of dread bass, while "B-Side Dub" rolls its off-kilter drums over a cinematic bass wave that takes us back to mid-90s era Metalheadz, and "Nu" steps elegantly into oblivion thanks to a dominating sub-bass and wavy, brutalist atmospherics. Large up.

Review: It looks like the Crucial Audio collective have done it again as they roll out this Goliath two tracker from Hebbe. Straight from the off we are introduced to gargantuan wailing synth leads on 'Mad Hatter', similar to that of early Emalkay. Then it gets even more mental as the the shimmering atmospherics and clicky percussion of 'Galata' lead into incredibly catchy eastern inspired melodies. This one gets a 10/10 for certain.

Review: As one of Holland's brightest dubstep up and comers, Hebbe has a lot of expectation riding on his shoulders from the dubstep community, having recently released upon J:Kenzo's Artikal music imprint to great success. This time he teams up with the Duploc network for a powerhouse EP, featuring two absolute corker originals. On the A side we hear the monstrous sound design of 'Float Yourself', complete with spacious percussive tones and spooky atmospherics. On the flip we the amphibian arrangement of 'Sword Art' which focuses more on bass rhythms, original synthesis and metallic snare sounds. What an EP this is to kick the year off for both Duploc and Hebbe.

Review: After that recent killer EP for Vision Collective, Hebbe lands on his native Subway imprint with four ice-cold dubstep licks for the corner dwellers. In fact, this is some pure rewind gear too, if we want to get all technical! "Dubmedika" literally stutters its bouncing bass bumps across glitchy percussion swings, while "Flute Song" unleashes a wavy haze of smoke in the air not too dissimilar to the sort found in Dutch jungles. Our man then teams up with Samba on "Subway", a harder, more imposing piece of steppers, leaving "Shanty Town" to provide the 'outernational' vibes thanks to a more swinging, more off-kilter set of percussion jingles. LUSH.

Review: One of Belgium's most authentic, dedicated dubstep collectives celebrate half a decade in the game with this impeccable 15 track collection from some of its nearest and dearest mates and both spirits and production benchmarks are set as high as you'd expect. Highlights? Bukez Finezt's ghetto-chomping wobbler "Real 2 Real" will leave you feeling seasick (in a good way) Requake will have you writing a new will and leaving everything to Duploc, Taiko's "Gremlin" will dark you out so hard you'll want to be blind (in the best way possible) while Saule's "Ottoia" stretches time and space in such a way you'll completely forget what day it is. Review: Rotterdam son... Where did you find this? Hebbe emerges from the shadows with his first full EP on Drew Theory's ever-developing Version imprint. Stretching from the harrowed chill of "Jahman" to the grittier, fuzzy bass fug of "New Order", Hebbe's range and sonic knowledge is expressed and exposed clearly. Other highlights include the subverted skank and metallic bass tones of "Fiddle Minger" and the daring rawness of "Badman Riddim" where the bellowing bass and spacious kicks play by rules of their own. An exciting breakthrough release that leaves you wanting more.
