Review: Lotech/Hijack is the latest artist to release on Lempuyang's offshoot label. While best known for his ambient and dub work, most of the material on this three-tracker is designed for club use. "We All Make Choices" resounds to insistent chords and a clattering, insistent rhythm. Like a lean, contemporary version of Force Inc's 90s techno, it is sure to have an impact on the dance floor. "In A Good Place" sees the Canadian producer follow a similar approach. This time, the sound is more looped, with a chord sequence fused with a dense groove. The title track sees him retreat to more familiar territory, as understated ambient textures unfold in an unhurried fashion.
