Review: Massiveness... Jungle Cakes' Welcome To The Jungle collection continues with one of the hardest working and consistent beatsmiths in the game - DJ Hybrid. Following massive selections from the likes of Benny Page, Dub Pistols and Born On Road (to name but a few) the Deep In The Jungle/Audio Addict bossman picks up where he and Dope Ammo left us in 2020 with his last Welcome To The Jungle appearance. This time he's boosted things even more with a staggering 62 tracks that covers the entire spectrum from an almighty rollcall of talents ranging from Voltage and Nicky Blackmarket to Napes to Serum, Jam Thieves, Conrad Subs, Bladerunner and so many more. This an absolutely incredible collection and selection from Hybrid and the Jungle Cakes crew. Essential.

Review: What a way to sign out of the year! DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict look back over a killer 2021 with the help of one of the most exciting rising DJ talents to emerge in recent years - Invicta Audio's Anais. Whether it's the mix you're after, or the epic clutch of 25 tracks, one thing is certain: you're going to have a lot of fun. All styles, all sounds, all shapes, all sizes, Audio Addict lays it all down in front of us from dark heads-down sweepers (Acuna & Madrush MC - 'City Lockdown') to mystical head-benders (Xav & Zach - Bristol Sound) to dramatic, bass heavy floor fires (Hexa - 'Hot Amps'). All this and plenty more, both Anais and Audio Addict have smashed it right here.
Review: Take your head out of the stars and keep your focus on the critters; aliens are heading your way and Hoax has the ultimate battle plan. 'Space Invaders' is a straight-fire shoot-em-up with its rising riff cascading up and up like rifle fire. 'Pyramids' gives you something to hide behind as they return fire. Robust and rolling, it provides ample coverage. 'Big Up' is the ultimate return fire with its obscene bassline bending and lolloping all over the spacious breaks before Skantia comes in and cleans up the situation with his remix of 'Space Invaders', a track that doesn't just wipe out alien invaders but most planets in a 50 million light year radius. Big up indeed.
Review: Hoax has been doing absolute bits for quite a while now and this forthcoming two-tracker for Audio Addict is a reminder that his ability to craft moody beats is right out of the top draw. 'Backstabber' exemplifies this best and moody doesn't begin to cover the grasping force of this track, a lows-heavy and ego-light rendition of pure dancefloor energy, with old-school brass textures providing the backdrop for a remorseless escape into clubland. Tickets ready please and leave your baggage on the door. The flipside is a remix from Kontakt, and he flips the bassline completely into a different beast, a remorseless set of stabs which hit with abandon. Insane.
Review: At a time of peak fake news, we need someone like Hoax. Someone who, contrary to his name, is willing to serve up cold hard brutal truths. Truths like these two bashers on TJ's ever-tasty Pick N Mix imprint. 'Pull The Plug' doesn't beat around the bush with the elastic twangs and pulsating rubber ball bassline while 'Reptile' bites first and asks later with its rattlesnake shakers and sharp-fanged bass stabs. Pure rave venom; some Hoaxes are meant to be believed.
