Review: No One Really Listens To Oscillators is the gloriously titled new album by Indian Wells, the project of producer Pietro Iannuzzi from southern Italy. The nine track album is released via Max Cooper's Mesh imprint, tackling issues of a sense of incompleteness and societal conformities. From the off-kilter IDM journey "Four Walls", to the dramatic electronica of "Calabrian Woods" and its epic drum solos, and the glassy-eyed and bittersweet ambient closer "Before Life" which was created soon after discovering his wife was pregnant - and starts with a recording of his daughter's fetal heartbeat.

Review: Many happy returns to Los Angeles imprint Friends of Friends, which with this expansive compilation notches up a decade of championing "one of a kind artists working to find new ways of connecting the digital and analog worlds". The weighty, 20-track collection naturally offers a great snapshot of the label's distinctive musical headspace, languidly strolling between woozy, semi-acoustic trip-hop beats (Somi & Haris Cole), evocative cinematic soundscapes (Cuddle Formation), drowsy redlined ambience (Deru), jazzy warmth (Sweatson Klank), loose-limbed bluesy dub disco (James Alexander Bright), atmospheric, post-house dancefloor shufflers (Keep Shelly In Athens) and buzzing, percussion-driven mutations of leftfield bass music (Slete Catorce).

Review: "!Kollections" banner. Each focuses on a certain aspect of the long-running label's vast back catalogue. The fourth edition, for example, focused on disco. "Reflections", the latest volume, is not as tight stylistically and instead gathers together tracks that tend towards the deep, poignant, beautiful and melancholy. There are many treats amongst the 27 showcased selections, with highlights including an impeccable chunk of string-laden downtempo pop from DJ Tennis and Fink, a dreamy slice of loved-up house warmth from Lone, the bustling, dream house era Mediterranean holiday memories of Mugwump's "God is Gracious" and the thrusting, big room-friendly late night hypnotism of Dubfire's "Dust Devil".
