Review: Because I'm Worth It is the long awaited debut album from former Hype Williams artist Inga Copeland, self-released under the shortened copeland name. Since copeland and Dean Blunt parted ways, she's been less visibly active than her former Hype Williams band member (who seems to have adopted the role of post modem troubadour) with just a few low key 12"s to her name and some vague allusions that a debut album was forthcoming. Some eight tracks long, the L'Oreal riffing albums sounds very much like you'd expect a long player from the Estonian musician to sound, but that's not to say it's without surprises. Chief amongst them is the appearance of Actress, who provides 'ambient keyboard' skills to the startling "advice to young girls'. Essential sonics for anyone who likes their electronics murky, lo fi and hard to digest easily.
