Review: From Bristol to the world, long-standing jungle collective Run Tingz wrap up 2020 with a serious jolt of positivity as they take in the internatty landscape and bring the full crew and many new faces together for this album rammed to the rafters with original - and largely vocal - dancefloor skank-ups. Highlights are instant as the opener 'Beautiful World' sets the vibes to stun. Elsewhere 'Lava Mouth' with Junior Morgan fuses savage breaks and disco stabs, Jinx and Deanie Rankin go for some proper gritty late 90s Dread vibes on 'Hooligan' and Cru newcomer Dublic dishes out a serious grumbler with the Total Science-style 'The Streets'. These are just the tip of the iceberg. Go global or go home.

Review: Seriously large compilation to dip into here with the ragga vocals of Blade Runner's remix to Marvellous Cain a bomb to start with. Scale yourself further down the 60 selection and you'll find several cuts from Mexican crewman Isaac Maya to raving tear outs from Soulculture. Tim Ryan All Stars serves up something easier on the ears for those red stripe afternoons in the sun, while for something a little more soulful and liquid - perfect for the peak time - check out Sound Shifter's "Loving You Forever". Old school Hospital Records vibes. We said it once and we'll say it again, seriously big.

Review: Featuring a debut vocal appearance from original ragga badman Daddy Freddy, Liondub presented the talents of Mexican producer Isaac Maya earlier this year. Returning to the scene with remix pressure from Nu Elementz and Profile and Portugal's own Dirty Skank Beats, the digital carnage unfurls with Nu Elementz and Profile's remix, which opens in a classic reggae style that turns dirty in all the best jump-up ways. The next reinterpretation is left to Dirty Skank Beats, who removes the original production entirely and replaces it with down and dirty heaviness and hard hitting horns, leaving the majority of the vocals intact. Nicely does it.

Review: From Mexico to Jamaica to London, "Original Jungle Sound" covers serious ground with a serious sound. Isaac Maya's rifle-like beats and teeth-baring bass reference jungles roots with futuristic production flourishes while Daddy Freddy gets guttural with forked tongue toasting in a way only he knows how. Remix-wise we head to Canada as Marcus Visionary adds his own brutal take on the original. Massive.

Review: Isaac Maya strips things back, presenting a delightfully dubbed out couple of tracks which match the roots of D+B with contemporary bass music on the first release in Liquid Brilliants new Dubwise Brilliants series. First of all, "Walk Away From Love" is a gorgeous, lilting riddim with reggae vocal setting the pace and setting the style for the duration, intricately weaving the narrative around some stomping drum beats and murmuring bass with some shimmying trumpets and plenty of soulful flavour. "Serious Thing" goes in on a slightly harder, more dancefloor driven tip with punchy drums and grinding bass.
