Review: Debt... One of the most popular pastimes in the UK right now, Jando captures the austerity zeitgeist with this crucial collection of Tyke's Holographic. 'Debt' makes us all pay the piper with its stripped back venomous aesthetic. It's backed up by plenty more dancefloor heat 'Speed Of Light' is a rasping physical weapon, 'War Dubplate' is all about those high voltage grizzles while 'Mario Riddim' takes us back to our childhoods when Debt was when our pocket money ran out. Man like Jando!

Review: Invicta Audio are doing us all a massive solid with this release, simply because compilations featuring incredible artists are just the best and the more music we get towards our ear drums the better. The Echo LP is a jump up inflected, minimalistic release that doesn't take many prisoners. 'Bad Bitch' by Harley D, featuring Scotty, is a perfect example of this, as his vocals lead you in with a distinctive tone before a broken drop emanates with some serious force, subterranean wobbles abound and it's an all-round moody listen. The rest of the LP is just as strong - big up the whole team.

Review: Having established themselves over the last year with killer free downloads from some of the most exciting names in the new-generation movement of artists, Timeless Audio continue to develop their brand with this crucial collection from Secret Sound and friends on their second full paid release. Four massive collaborations deep, across the EP we find Secret Sound tagging in the likes of Jando on the growling stepper 'Code Red', we see Drowzee jumping on board to turn on all the lights on the grotty bass jammer 'Home Alone' while Lockerz join the fray with Secret Sound on the roughhouse tear-up 'Embrace'. Review: Twisted's Grid switch to full blast once again with another collections of what they call 'Head Nodders' but us mere mortals call 'deep, tense, stinky bangers'. Featuring a full cast of familiar Gridsters, the vibes range from the farty party of Jando's opening 'Jaguar Trap' to the Dutch oven noxiousness of Parallel's screaming finale 'Warped Entity'. Between these two points we have the trumpy pumpy ruffage of Damage Report's 'Punch Bag', the trippy steamy vapours of Oli Lewis's 'Just You' and the air biscuit crunch of Jaxx's swashbuckling 'Horses For Courses'. Review: Stuss is on Breeze for an EP that sits comfortably on the intersection between lighter and darker bits, a nice concoction of influences that come together for wicked results. 'Touching Me' is fresh and creative, with a skippy, drum line and warped out synth nodes that climb and fall in tandem with each other, forming a hypnotic main melody. 'Outlaw' takes things into darker territory with a stripped back arrangement, greater focus on the drums and an even nastier back end. Big.

Review: With an already massive following and vaults of free download albums to their name, Invicta Audio come correct with the full label and launch with the twisted sounds of Jando. Four tracks in total, each one tickles a different corner of the minimal / hybrid playground. 'Corrupt' is the techiest cut of the bunch with its neuro-like build up drop into revved up barky riff and it's followed by three more trippy head-benders; 'Ignite' is a all about the fluttering high end harmonics, 'New World Sound' is pure prang funk while 'Verdict' closes the show with soothing pads and a drop into the scattiest bassline of the release. Imagine a metal ping pong ball bouncing down an aluminium tube and you're in the right dance.

Review: It's mid 2020 and we're all feeling a little distressed right now. Nothing to do with the current world situation, we're just feeling "Distressed" because it's such a banging EP. Jando's first big EP for Eternal, naturally he's sweeping us off our feet at every musical opportunity. Highlights include the skittering drums and big paranoid groans of "Shook" the intense euphoria and gully drop of "Distressed" and the eerie tones of the finale "Vigilant". This ain't no time for calming down.
