Step It Up / Lights
K Motionz & Comma Dee - "Step It Up" - (4:30) 174 BPM
Lights (feat IC3) - (3:40) 174 BPM Hot
Review: Bang, right in the kisser! K Motionz steps up with 'Step It Up', a humungous laser blazer primed for festival season. Featuring the vocals of Commadee, it's all about the fat molten lava bassline that throws back to the Xample & Lomax days of Ram. 'Lights' keeps the MC vibes alive as the legend that is IC3 joins the fray for another big dancefloor bruiser vibe. Heavy beats, rapid vocals, killer vibes - K Motionz isn't messing around!

Gunshot
Gunshot (A.M.C remix) - (3:57) 175 BPM
Played by: K Motionz
Review: There aren't many people better to remix your track than A.M.C, the man who recently dethroned Andy C as the Best DJ at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards and who is just generally an absolute beast at both production and spinning. He's on remix duties for K-Motionz and the result is a penetrating, deeply heavy wall of pure fire, one which jumps out the gun with the momentum of Usain Bolt and which matches him on sheer impact. 'Gunshot' is exactly what you'd expect - wounding - and A.M.C. has flipped this one into a DJ weapon we assume he's been getting ample use from.

Original Dubplate
Original Dubplate - (5:32) 175 BPM
Review: Show us a distress signal! Yung K-Mo is back in the building with his first solo track since last summer's debut album Evolution... And it's a proper stinky piece of business. Darker and moodier than anything the respected rising star has ever given the world so far, "Original Dubplate" hits hard with all the groans, moans and grizzles as its name suggests. Rolling, paranoid and impossible to ignore, this is a pivotal moment in K Motionz career. Essential.

Review: Digital Terror galvanise their vaults with this absolute stormer of a collection. Bulging with some of the biggest names flexing in the fertile badlands between jump up / rollers, the whole album smacks of premium, uncut timeless D&B from the likes of Hoogs, Bou, Dutta, T>I, Taxman, Macky Gee, Rawtee and many many more. If you've been following Digital Terror you'll already know that every track is a highlight but stand out thumpers include the sinewy metallic ripples on Danger & Nightfang's "Turbulence", the blistered breaks and flabby bass wallops on Dutta & Raz's "Spectacular" and T>I's super slimy shakedown of Hoogs' "Jungle Bad". Stinking!

Voltage & Nicky Blackmarket - "Bad 808's" - (4:46) 175 BPM
Review: Logan D's Low Down Deep imprint celebrate 100 releases with this bumper to bumper banger collection with cuts from the biggest names in the heavier end of the game; Turno, Maji, Upgrade, Voltage, Heist, Serum and of course the late great Dominator are just some of the heavyweights involved. Every tune is a highlight but mad salutes fire in the direction of Turno & Pacso with their purring harmonic bass creeper "Cosmic Funk", K Motionz' long awaited summer slamming anthem "Buckaguy" and the blissful rippling charms and outrageous subby drop of Heist's "Hawaiian". Elsewhere there's pure gully fisticuffs as Kanine has "Bloody Knuckles" and Serum has "Brass Knuckles". Either way, they both KO. Like the whole album. Get on this.

K Motionz & Dominator - "The Dominator" - (4:39) 175 BPM
Review: Revolution for Evolution! Hotly-tipped new gen jump up craftsman K Motionz comes correct with his highly anticipated debut album. 16 tracks of thundering 175 magic, K-Mo crushes it from all directions. From the groaning, droning moans of opener "Exterminate" to the emotional Jaws-style dramatic finale with the late great Dominator (RIP) "The Dominator", there's not a filler in sight. The sing-along thrills and spills of "Declaration", the slithering rolls and slaps of "Reptile", the soothing soulful glides of "Dreaming To Reality", the surging peaks of "Higher" and the gritty contrasts of "Gospel" are just some of the many highlights. Time to evolve...

Silver Bullet - (4:26) 175 BPM
Review: Raise the alarm! K Motionz returns with another tease from his forthcoming album The Evolution. Similar to last week's "Declaration", it's another one track missile that leaves you under no uncertain terms with its relentless energy and addictive riff dynamic. Springy, hooky and liable to have the crowd from bouncing to sing-along in three seconds flat; if you're not ready for K Motionz album after hearing this, you probably never will be.

REMIX EP PART 1
K Motionz - "Cartel" (BassBrothers remix) - (4:50) 175 BPM
Cue - "Kicks" (Envenom remix) - (4:09) 175 BPM

Jayline & Hokilla - "Repercussion" (Sub Killaz remix) - (4:26) 175 BPM Hot
Review: Here comes the remix! Digital Terror look back over their eight year back cat and dust off a few faves that are ripe for the rework. BassBrothers step up first with a darker, more demonic take on "Cartel", only hinting it the original's hair-raising 16Bit style high end textures. Envenom take us back to 2015 and add a whole new layer of twisted harmonic funk to "Kicks" while Dutta gives us the (KRS) one-fingered salute with the savage high-note riff venom. Finally Jayline & Hokilla's 2013 jungle rumbler gets a stark subby treatment from San Diego fire man Sub Killaz. And this is only part one...

K Motionz & Danger - "Eyespy" - (4:23) 175 BPM

LBS - "Special Forces" - (2:11) 175 BPM
Review: Finally, a chance for everyone to experience LSD safely and legally as D-Minus and friends take over Profound's first release of the year. Rather than a frolic in a field of strawberry fields, the title track is a little more intense with its bad trip bass blaring with horn-like menace. Deeper into the trip we flex as K-Motionz & Danger do the rusty robot on "Eyespy", Ironlung takes us all for the fools that we are, LBS twists up the styles with a neuro intro and jump-up drop on the battle-ready "Special Forces" and K-Motionz gets his angular grit on with "Orbital". There's no comedown from this.

The Remixes Vol 1
Tsuki - "Street Wars" (Premium remix) - (4:29) 175 BPM
Kanine - "9 Lives" (K Motionz remix) - (3:39) 175 BPM Hot
Played by: Toxinate
Review: Remix time: Bulletproof don their protective clothing for two killer versions of two recent tried and tested bangers. First up Tsuki's "Street Wars" continues to develop a life of its own. As the dust settles from the recent VIP, Premium adds a whole new layer of thugged out prang-flavoured bass. K Motionz follows with an equally suited, booted and space-funked twist on Bulletproof's second ever release - Kanine's barking mad "9 Lives". With more to follow, it feels like Bulletproof are only just getting started.

Review: Shoes off! K Motionz is back with two obscene thumpers that are so hooky you'll be humming in the most inappropriate of places for next five years. "Het Entrepot" pays homage to the European take on jump-up with an insane riff that genuinely comes from nowhere and stays forever. "Bneath" sees him teaming up with Subway affiliate Profile for a laser-licking lash-out deep in the coldest corners of space.

Review: Birmingham blunderbuss K Motionz teams up with Spectre-affiliate Subsonic for two KO collabos and a series of solo originals."Worlds" is a brash roughhouser with savage sandpaper scuffing your very soul while "Sewer" takes us deep underground for a splash in the harmonic sonic slurry. Elsewhere Mr Motionz gets trippy on the humanised bass gurgles of "Diversion" and twisted on the multi-bass hits and tripletty swing of "Load while Subsonic whips up some serious string theatre on "Escape" while "Wun Style" shuts us down with true distorted drama. Titanic.

Ironlung - "Warfare" - (4:27) 175 BPM
K Motionz - "Twirl" - (5:51) 175 BPM
Review: Guv's Dubz Audio imprint goes from the strength to strength, consistently identifying the originators in an increasingly cluttered market. "DAPVA" is the label's first v/a collection, featuring one of the label's most consistent artists (Hedex) and three label debuts from men who need no introduction. Hedex is all about the heavily coded funk in the riff, Dilate conjures up a cool subby roller with added industrial strength percussion while Ironlong brings the one-note riff hype in a similar way to Tyke or Hazard. Finally, K Motionz closes the show with some subversive drama as the build craftily teases into a hair-raising drop you'd never expect. Damagement.

K Motionz & Fraksure - "Warzone" - (4:23) 175 BPM
Review: UK rising star K Motionz makes his Digital Terror debut with four examples of raw, futuristic bass funk. Ruffled, unruly and pinned with a teeth-baring sense of darkness, each cut means business: "Cartel" is total sandpaper funk, all scratchy and ardent, "Survive" is fuelled by a vicious neck-snap riff but backed with mesmerising synth texture in the breakdown, "Transmission" opens with mid 90s synth epicty before dropping into a battle royal bass arrangement. Finally, Fraksure joins the fray for the closing sonic clothesline. A dagger-like metallic riff stabs with devil may care grit while the rolling beats and subtle strings really come into their own when the elements break down. A raw way to sign off a powerful EP.

Review: Bringing people together through the power of good drum and bass isn't alien to these guys - Gun Audio run City Flow Festival back home in Antwerp, offering one of the biggest platforms for hard hitting jump-up sounds in Western Europe. Their Reload EP series has so far seen the rise of too many new artists to count and it's these massive compilations that the people want to hear. They bring City Flow together and they show off what's yet to come for the next year. Review: Yeah, so before anything else is said, the face behind this blistering onslaught of upfront drum and bass isn't even old enough to buy a packet of cigarettes. 15 year old K Motionz has clearly spent his few years on this planet focusing on how to melt faces and "Soundboy" kicks off this release with honourable intentions at heart. Dark and dirty, there's a definite sound of Hype and Pascal seeping through the session. "Unmarked" follows suit, mashing a filthy electrified bassline into a sharp stepping beat. This kid's got it all covered. Better watch your back.

Konvict Dee combines liquid drum and bass with growling synths in "Badman", while DJ Masta's remix to Pest's "DROP IT" is gnarly. Distortion, syncopation, but most importantly - groove - dominates Rd's "Ku Yung Fi", and last is the futuristic laser fighting off Pest's "The Room".
