Review: Italian label Diverse Onde Sonore bring us what is, as far as we can tell, the first ever release from Karl King. The clue's in the mix titles here, with 'Don't Go' presented in Pop Extended and 80 Extended rubs (each complete with a matching radio edit) that differ primarily in the timbre of the drums that underpin them: the latter sounds like it's beamed straight in from c.1983-84 while the former wouldn't sound out of place on The X Factor. The Bruno Mars/Olly Murs-like vocal will be too much for some, but there's a market out there for slick 80s-informed pop sounds, and that's exactly where this is aimed.
