The line-up contains a collection of high profile drums specialists, including DJ Hybrid, Erbman, Jinx, Bass Antics, Genetix and a host more. For us the highlights of this quite frankly super stacked project include Lion UK's dubwise roller in 'Hova Nova', alongside Flat T's scatty driver 'The Dragon' and Verdikt's super subby outing on 'Enemies'.

Review: Ruffneck Ting let rip into 2018 with the launch of a brand new V/A album The Xtraordinary League Of Jungles 2. As with the previous collection, the album will be a roadblock of stone cold jungle lash-outs and these are the first five tracks to tease us. "Erbman" is all about the warm bassline bounce and strange sci-fi flutters. Kenji goes in on a T>I style stripped back steppy vibe on "I Would" while K Jay gives us not one but two dope collaborations... The wobbled out "Kerplunk" with Verdikt and the rocked-out face-slapper "Rock With Me". Finally the label bosses Dazee and Substance's 1997 tear-up "LF Ant" gets a razor-sharp 21-year update from Genetix & Habitat. Ruffneck ting; heads of the herd for almost 25 years.

Review: Wild West Recordings always try their best to replicate the no-holds-barred, anarchic nature of life on the 19th century, American frontier and they do so via the aggressive tones of modern D&B. This is a best-of compilation of tracks that have come out through the label and it puts that ethos on good display, featuring some seriously weighty acts like Nu:Elementz and Ironlung. The former's contribution is especially potent, a gargling display of production intensity and a lesson to all budding artists out there in how to create a knockout jump-up track, its biting bass stabs teaching you all you need to know. Ironlung's tune - 'Dreaming' - is equally as naughty but it rests on a much more potent set of drum hits, giving it an extra oomph that you can certainly hear. The others are just as good - check 'em.

Review: Six sells... And so do gully bangers. Just as Tyke and the Holographic Audio as they invite Latvian lad Kenji over for some sonic sickness. Three tracks, three moments of chaos for your dancefloor; 'Six' is a slick, well-oiled machine, all steppy and sleazy, 'You Cannot Defeat Me' is a much grottier jam with all kinds of alien twists on the sound design while 'Mr Cowboy' corals the crew with a big bassline lasso. Yippy-kai-yay.

Review: Time for some punishment... Kenji style! Kicking the doors of 2018 wide open with this epic four-tracker, it's a no-nonsense package from the office: the title track (with Dispoze) balances grainy symphonic samples with an infected gurgling bassline, "This One" (with Endo) buzzes like cesspit of angry robotic toads, "Society" (with AC MC) rattles with metallic harmonics so humungous they enshroud your filthy soul and "F Wit" that slaps us silly with a madcap b-line combo of barking and stretching. Punishment? Gunishment, more like.

Review: Latvian producer Kenji steps over to Wild West for five slices of jump-up mischief: the sticky-fingered title track samples a well-known angry ginger with equal measures of fun and fury. Deeper into the EP we hit timeless, slightly restrained Hazard-style licks on "Snake In The Grass". "Typical" resonates with classical-level piano hammers while "All The Time" sees Kenji doing the disco dodo with Dispoze. Finally we get crazy on "Take 'Em Back" where a double-edged bassline slaps your forehead while kicking your shin. Murderation.

Review: Kenji is over on Eternal Muzic and with this single takes you on a rough and ready journey through rolling D&B, one that's characterised by its reliance on the best elements of the older school of 170 sonics: big drum hits, creative sampling and a complete lack of pretentiousness or over-engineering. 'Make Moves' is exactly that and we love the spoken sample that rolls out over the drop, whilst 'You Have No Idea' finishes things off in style as well with more wicked sampling, this time of nostalgic sounds from the East. Top draw.

Review: Gun fingers fallen off? Don't worry, Kenji's packing heat and he's more than happy to share. "Bustin At Em" is a physical shaker with bold layers of drums, tribal gong smashes and a naggy riff that won't quit. "Gunz" shoots from the hip with its stop/start drums and Urban Takeover style reverse bass lick. "Inaccurate" adds a little more danger to the blend with icy pads and two basslines that appear to have a knife fight before our very ears while "Nevermind" and "Ya Don't Test" both play deftly with breath-taking cinematic string samples. Bullet time!

Review: Latvia might not be your first stop for up and coming jungle stars, but Liondub International has definitely found one in Kenji. For the 10th volume of "$treet $eries", first track "Gun Proof" blasts out straight rudeboy style with bass bombs and a layered synthesizer backdrop. With tempo and temperature rising, "In Yo Crib" kicks down the door with rough bassline-led jump up. The title track strips it further back to roughneck basics with plenty of space and "Look at the Sky" deploys the same skeletal tactics in a roller. Closer "Primary Force" fills out the sound palette with warring sample layers and techy nonchalance. Think again about Latvia!

Review: We are huge fans of Kenji, he's been producing some real jump up bangers, which still have a sense of musicality to them, which we all know is not a common theme. There's so much to love about 'Get Down' the background high pitched buzz, similar to something 'Tyke' would pull out of his hat is set against a sub which sounds like it is floating and decorated with wizzes and pops, the track is pure twisted magic. 'Al Capone' comes to us courtesy of Kenji & Bou, with a similar floating vibe to the bass accompanied by clicky and bleeping beats, this is another one for the floor.

Review: The Dirty Latvian strikes again! This time he's in major league collabo mode: Jack The Ripper brings out some stark contrasts as the rasping jump-up riff drops into an emotional breakdown. Basstripper brings out the lazer bass and gritty triplets and mild jazz tones while Bou brings out a reversed trippiness to Kenji's bass. Deeper again "Born In It" sees Kenji going solo with a pointed, punctuated bass cascase while the final collabo sees him getting all jagged and darked out with Dispoze. Total tag team terror.

Review: Tokin, smokin trail blazers G13 round up a new crew for a new smoky session. And everyone's wrapping their finest. Label big smokes Rowney & Propz take the lead with the sticky viciousness of "Devils Gate" while Mackey Gee blows back with a smooth retro vapour with "Arcade Machine". Kilos of new talent follow with L-Ectric shaking us out of our skin on the brutal "So Easy", Danee B getting his jazz on with sprightly-but-wonked sounds of "Bad World", Meladee and Niterider slinking out with a warm old school bass tone and Kenji bringing us home with a superb mind-warper that's both deep and hypey at the same time. High grade, as standard.

Review: Kenji's ripping the jams up right now. Hot on the heels of his last Dance Concept release ("No Love") here he comes with this funkiest batty slapper to date. "BBB" lives up to its XXX theme with a bouncing bass that soon turns red raw. "Success" subverts the idea of a triumphant anthem with a twisted rising riff and creepy arpeggios. Building into a mystic breakdown before zooming from zero to neck-snap; they say success is sweet, Kenji would argue its more savoury characteristics. Slamming.

Label bosses Cabin Fever reboot with old sparring partner Saxxon for an electrified brock-out "Clubhopper" before four acts make their label debut: DJ Hybrid applies a skillishly simplistic and highly timeless bassline stepper, Version cooks up with rattling wasps-in-tin bassline and warped retro sci-fi tones, Sureshock looks to the stars through a pair of Klute's glasses and a soaring big system vocal, while Kenji twists up with a serious space jam.

Review: Lion Dub have reached a decade of activity. A decade! To put it in perspective, if someone was born the year Liondub started, they're about to enter high school/secondary school. It's a crazy achievement and one matched by the craziness of the music they have on offer to celebrate, a four-part journey through their past, present and future. This instalment is all about their past and it's exemplified best by Serum's VIP of Sound The Alarm, a Liondub classic, which Serum has flipped into a characteristically badboy, stabbing little roller. The vocals float above in a haze of reggae smoke, whilst the beat pulsates below. Awesome stuff.

Review: Most three-year celebrations involve cake, pass the parcel, tantrums and, inevitably, sick. Mercifully at WWR we only have the sick to mop up. And we mean sick with a capital bruh... Highlights from their short but tonked discography hit from every direction with the likes of Supreme Being getting operatically epic on his remix of "Dysphixia" and raffishly mechanical on "Show Down", Blackmarket and Voltage paying homage to one of the greatest trilogies ever filmed, Kenji taking us beyond the clouds on his sticky icky sub-laden "Pot Smoker".
