Review: Gary Beck's imprint can always be relied upon to deliver high-quality techno and this split release is no exception. Raas' "Dribunaal" gets the EP off to a tribal start with a combination of rolling drums and swirling synths, while Kev D's "Move Your Feet" inhabits similar territory. Peppered with disco stabs and vocal samples, it's a near perfect blend of house and techno. Lowerzone ups the intensity level on "Mad Circus", dropping high-paced kicks and insistent bursts of percussion, with these elements providing the backdrop for a malevolent wave of synths. Robert Johnstone's "Elevate" is also a pacey affair, but it's not as visceral, with rolling snares and a lean, jacking rhythm having maximum impact.
