We Are Lost
Various
Review: Lost & Found main man Guy J is in a celebratory mood, in part because the label is on the cusp of hitting a century of releases. He may well have something special planned for release 100, but first, there's the small matter of 'LF099' - this expansive compilation of previously unreleased gems in the imprint's trademark style. Guy J naturally sets the tone with pleasingly wonky, moody and mind-altering opener 'Metal Dreams', before Chicola drops the melody-rich progressive house of 'Dreams For Breakfast' and Guy Mantzur goes deep, tech-tinged and hypnotic on 'Love in a Bottle'. Highlights continue to pop up throughout, with our picks including the rushing, sun-splashed gorgeousness of Eli Nissan's 'Valley of the Winds', the trance-inducing deep-tech wooziness of Khen's 'Golden Key', and the low-slung brilliance of Guy J's 'Illusions'.

Where Is Home (Remixes)
Review: Guy Mantzur and Khen are undoubtedly two of Tel Aviv's most respected progressive house producers. They joined forces for a collaborative two track EP titled Where Is Home last year on John Digweed's legendary Bedrock label - which they've now decided to revisit via the remix route. The track in question receives an emotive rendition by Hamburg deep house hero Mathias Meyer; the Watergate resident harnessing the life-affirming energy of the original, yet taking the power of the groove onto the main room dancefloor. Next up rising Dutchman Kasper Koman (Anjunadeep/Mango Alley) gets onboard for the 4AM remix of "My Golden Cage" which draws the track into moodier territory with its foreboding bassline, clipped rhythms and murky atmosphere.

Manginot EP
Review: With a discography appearing on such labels as Ajunadeep, Lost & Found and Bedrock, Tel Aviv's Khen arrives on Lost Miracle with two deep and progressive tech house numbers full of subtle baroque sentimentalities. Radiating the balmy warmth of an Israeli summer's night - replete with the sound of cocktail glasses and powerful chords ("Out Of A Dream") - the producer centralises these two tracks around subtle eastern themed motifs and bigger musical inspirations that paint a picture of a mysterious arabian night somewhere deep within a mystical medina's dancefloor. Go there.

Where Is Home
Review: Tel Aviv-based duo Guy Mantzur and Khen deliver a hard hitting masterclass in pure progressive house vibes. These lifelong friends have both had successful individual releases on John Digweed's legendary Bedrock label - so this was a logical progression really. Features the slinky and hypnotic freefall of "Where Is Home" that's sure to elevate the dancefloor to a higher state of consciousness. Going down a slightly moodier route is the atmospheric minimal tech house epic "Golden Cage" with its mental arpeggios and clipped drum patterns sure to enhance any state of tunnel vision rather effectively on this magical slow burner.

Balance Presents Sunsetstrip
Various / Hernan Cattaneo
Review: Progressive house supremo Hernan Cattaneo takes us on a journey to the deep side here, and it's very much the proverbial game of two halves. In the first half, the Argentinian skillfully weaves a path through dreamy midtempo numbers (see Kymatiks' Green Fields & Lemon Skies'), moody, broody synth chuggers (Cattaneo & Soundexile's 'Flair') and full-on ambience (Navar's 'Zion'). For the second half, the dancefloor ante is raised considerably by the likes of Cid Inc's driving Balearic prog jam 'Forgotten' and the chunky, atmospheric 'Mein Sohn' by Subandrio. The deep/prog hinterland has long been Cattaneo's home, and this engaging collection shows why he's one of the scene's most revered selectors.

Anjunadeep In Miami 2019
Various
Review: It's that time of year again when the Miami comps flood in thick and fast, and here's this year's offering from the Anjunadeep camp. With the label now so well established that they host their own festival, you've probably got a pretty good idea what to expect, and you wouldn't be far wrong, with the 12 tracks included largely coming from that nebulous zone where deep and progressive house collide. There's a satisfying mixture of established names - Dosem, Alex Metric, Tim Englehardt - and more up-and-coming artists, and fans of the label are unlikely to come away disappointed, with Lyrocoriscoris's dreamy 'Leave' and Dosem's tougher, techier 'Not Leaving' among the highlights.

Armada Deep - Miami 2019
Various
Review: Like its' predecessors, this year's edition of Armada Deep's annual Miami WMC themed compilation is an absolute treasure trove of dancefloor treats for DJs who enjoy the more melodious, soaring and electronic end of the house spectrum. It boasts no less than 40 full-length, floor-friendly cuts, including tracks from some of the biggest names in the game. With such an epic track listing, picking highlights is tough. Our personal favourites include Dixon's atmospheric, crackling and beautiful remix of Amberoom's "Kastell", the grandiose breakdowns, swirling electronics and Balearic guitar flourishes of Tube, Berger and Alegant's "Cure", the rolling warmth of the Brett Johnson Dub of Infinity Ink's "Rushing Back", and the pitched-down throb of Moscoman's celebration remix of Three Drives on a Vinyl's vintage trance classic "Greece 2000".

Toolroom Miami 2019 (unmixed Tracks)
Various
Review: It's that time of year again, when deals are made and stars are born in The City Of Magic. In preparation for Miami's Winter Music Conference, Mark Knight & Co. serve up their hit predictions on Toolroom Miami 2019 - accept no substitute! Across a whopping 62 tracks, there's all you need to hear, right here, across the event's five consecutive days and compiled in three continuous mixes, appropriately titled: The Poolside Mix, The Club Mix and rather appropriately The Afterclub Mix. Highlights not limited to: Illyus & Barrientos swingin' diva antics on "Shout", chief Mark Knight with Danny Howard channeling early noughties tech house on the polyrhythmic "You Can Do It Baby", French bass-house hero Shiba San on the super boompty "Crush That" through to legend ATFC on the epic "Strong 2 Survive" (Dario D'Attis extended mix) and Israeli progressive house expert Khen on the slinky and hypnotic "Pecas" (original mix).

Pecas/Lost Of The Time/Evergreen
Played by: Enamour
Review: Israeli progressive house hero Khen is back with some more sublime and hypnotic grooves on the deeper tip for Lost & Found - the Bedrock sublabel run by his hometown hero Guy J. From the sensual and emotive "Pecas" or the moody dancefloor drama of "Lost Of The Time" which is sure to get the heads down when the strobelight comes on. The impressive EP closes out with the dark and atmospheric energy of "Evergreen" that's perfectly geared for late night tunnel vision. First popping up on our radar a couple of years back with his impressive debut album One Day Of Independence, Khen has mainatined his edge on his productions with this killer release.

One Day Of Independence Remixes
Review: Israeli rising star Khen gave us the absolutely sublime One Day Of Independence in late 2016 which was a fantastic voyage through the many shades of progressive house and proved that this guy is on to very big things. The protege of fellow Tel Aviv greats Guy J and Guy Mantzur now presents a bunch of serious remixes from said album taken on by an all-star cast. Our favourites here would have to be "Imaginal Cells" remixed by the aforementioned Guy J which is eight minutes of ethereal beauty, Diynamic affiliated Lehar gets onboard too with his rendition of "Prism" and gives it that Life & Death style dark journey vibe to it and an honourable mention to Amsterdam's favourite son Patrice Baumel whose version of "Land Of Goshen" is pretty brilliant if we do say ourselves: swimming in layers of mesmerising arpeggios.

One Day Of Independence
Review: Israeli rising star, the Guy Mantzur mentored Khen is back and presents his long awaited debut album Day Of Independence, which sees this young artist in the global progressive house scene as a force to be reckoned with. The album is a cohesive effort, covering a wide variety of moods and grooves and skillful variations of his dreamy and hypnotic sound. There's last month's breakthrough single "Children With No Name" starting out the album in style, the very Life & Death sounding journey "Alumot" and there's also the adrenalised tech house of "Epidemic". Honorbale mentions also to the deep and immersive tribalism of "Anyway Now" and the Bronzed re-edit of "Anise", which does for some afterhours style minimal house flavour.
