Review: Particles have been releasing some quality progressive of late, and there seems no sign of that changing with the latest from Kobana & Mario Hatchet raising well above the parapet. The label enlist three fresh remixes on prolific Polish producer Kobana's pairing with Hatchet. All three on offer embrace the deep and dark qualities of the original, with a theme throughout of being all about the groove. It's Verve who steals the show for us, with that little extra pace and variation to get the floors moving, that said Rytek's uber deep cut, and the funky drums of Sound Process are a further two solid alternatives.
Review: James Grant has become to Anjunadeep what Above & Beyond are to the main label (not to mention being Jono's brother, of course). The linchpin and A&R head who has shaped the cross genre widespread appeal of the imprint, so it seems only right he jumps back in the driving seat for the much anticipate Volume 04. Leading the way is the Andrew Bayer & James Grant wicked house re-rub of Above and Beyond's anthem "Prelude", with the groovy 'Get To Know You' from Vincenzo follow closely behind. Further cuts come in the form of a new Soundprank mix of 'Afterthought' from Parker & Hanson, and Stephen J Kroos 'Phobos' make this one hell of a package.
