Review: This is how you do Let It Roll in style... You roll out to Prague with four of Hospital's deepest, most respected technicians on soundtrack duties: Anile, Krakota, Keeno and S.P.Y. Naturally they all smash the mission to pieces, Anile's brilliantly titled "Caveman Neil" does weird and wonderful things with harmonics, Keeno goes all-out gospel to tremendous effect on "Empath", Krakota cooks up some bouldering, smouldering drums and showers them with disco sprinkles while S.P.Y serves up a Randall-level roller. Take us to Let It Roll already!

Review: Krakota steps up for the next instalment from Ingredients' extensive cookery school. It's deep, weighty bass-led business from the off in title track "Scraper". A sci-fi soaring intro with hissing atmospherics gives way to a bassline roller with razor sharp snares and metallic SFX, before the same out of space symphony returns as the track progresses, adding to the pervasive sense of unease. "Tunnel Vision", its musical accompaniment, again channels a bewildering feel with deep sub bass, whirring b-line and terse, hissing drums. Another excellent offering from the Ingredients camp - delicious!

Review: The moment the quintessential rave synths, rolling breaks and cooing female vocals on album opener "North Winds" hit you, you know Krakota's put together something special. Coming on strong like a young Logistics but with his own soul-flecked signature, Krakota has weight, a strong sense of history and scope. The footwork beats and New York sounding synths on "Turn Of Fate", the big band flourishes of "Powder Coated", the writhing jazz snakery of "Elastic" the horror movie spikes and MC venom of "Weirdos & Creepers". Pick a track, any track, and we guarantee Krakota's smashed it. Hospital don't mess around with artist albums... Here's a perfect reminder why.

Review: Since signing to Hospital last year Krakota has delivered a progressively on-point stream of rollers and bubblers. Hot on the heels of "Ice Hands" and "Ghosts" comes the Bournemouth artist's first fully fledged EP and it's something of a vibe marathon: "In The Area" soothes with soft harmonic basses in a similar way to early Netsky or perhaps Nu:Logic material, "Citadels" is a floaty, cosmic meander through the jungle milky way. Looking for Krakota's harder side? Look no further than "Crash Pads"; all Experience-era detuned synths and swashbuckling amens, it's undiluted rave juice. Finally "Lazy Bones" brings us back to earth with a piano-shaped cushion... Before packing us off to sub boot camp with some very devious but subtle bass dynamics. Krakota's best release to date, without question.

Review: You can always rely on Krakota to come up with the goods, and true to form "Xylo" is a perfect mashup of his own fresh and forthright style and the old days we all love. Subby and surly, it's moody enough to bring some serious stepping to the floor but packing enough punch to hit headline slots. "Irregular" takes over the flip side with the tang of brutal synths in tow as rolling bass rumbles under skitterish snares. Nasty in all the best ways, there's a good chance you've already had your head down to this over the summer fest period. Now's your chance to put a name to the beat and introduce your neighbours to it too. Thanks, Krakota!

Review: Krakota knows how to squeeze every last drop of emotion out of his productions - a rare feat, given most with similar talents for creating ten-tonne drum and bass devastation tend to leave out the feels. Mixing delicate textures with an onslaught of towering bass ramping up the pressure with every rumble, it's a track full of surprises. Just wait 'til the manic breaks kick in. What a belter.

Review: The opening track on Krakota's first substantial solo release since his 2016 debut album Strange System is called "Hot Rain"... And the recent Hospitality In The Park was a mudfest? That's too much of a coincidence for us. With sounds as strong, alluring and gut punching as "Hot Rain" a serious deal with the devil's been made here. You too will be playing the devil out o this exceptional EP; the sparkling funk and underpinning darkness of "Callback", the venom stepper "Fever Dreams" and the beautiful title track finale "See For Miles" are some of Krakota's most captivating and emotive pieces of work to date. Enjoy the view...

Review: Let It Roll: Prague's drum & bass festival mecca reaches new heights every year as they involve and work with more of the scene's key labels. Part of a series of EPs from influential labels, Hospital joins the fray with four unreleased power punches: Logistics' gets his crunch on harder than usual with "Destination", Krakota busies up the soul VIP-style "In The Area", Whiney proffers a Bcee-level vocal massage on "They Will Come" while Anile closes the show on a dark rolling note. Think 98-era Total Science and you're not far off.

Review: Ulterior Motive head up this three-track EP on Critical, teaming up with three hot new talents along the way. First up is their collab with Hybris - "Bring Out". This one builds from a contemplative intro full of ticking beats and watery SFX into a nice little roller with quirky atmospherics and gently jittery rhythms. Next they join forces with FD in "Drum Circle", where, you've guessed it, it's all about the drums but also watch out for the tough, rough bass and warping sounds which add further bark to the bite. Last but not least, the boys team up with label boss Kasra for the epic "Minesweeper" which goes in deep with gnarly b-line, grouchy SFX and plenty of punch. Big things!
