Review: From Spanish breakbeat duo Kultur & Colombo, "Blow Me" brings the funk in droves, looping some energetic vocals into a blur while subtle keys keep the tune driving along. A huge brass loop joins the party midway through, classically filtered up and guaranteed to fill you full of glee. "1,2,3 Breakbeat" flirts with early '80s hip-hop, sporting some vicious battle raps and old-school 808 drum sounds. Among many others, Cut La Roc and Skool of Thought have shown big support for these tunes already and K&C are clearly putting Spain firmly on the breakbeat map with every release
Review: Some banging breakbeat action from Spanish label Logico Beatz - this time from Kultur who spins the bass and bleeps of "A Wicked Tune" over two takes on this release. It's a bold claim but they are both wicked indeed, with Take 2 throwing in a crafty wind-down followed by an enormous build-up that'll keep you hooked to the floor. Blitz and Bartdon's remixes impress too.
