Review: Next up from Kuro, Kelly Dean arrives for another fabulous display of original dubstep flavour, this time unleashing five new creations jam-packed with some system-ready heat. First up 'Lost Echos' arrives as a battle-hardened title track, crunching together metallic drum licks and lethal reese bass sounds for a warping intro, followed by the epic harmonic drifts and hype-inducing vocal designs of 'It's Up To You' alongside Strikez. From here, another collaboration looms into view with Kial supplying some additional heat on 'Controlled Falling', a 140-breaks fusion, stuffed full of swamping atmospheric pressure, with Kelly then delivering a thumping remix of Kwizma's 'Mammoth' for good measure, again focussing on those sizzling reese sounds. Finally, a masterclass in distortion and sonic manipulation as the break infused rhythms of 'Two Faced' are laced with more grizzly synthetics to give the EP one final kicker. Excellent work!

Review: What a year it has been for the team at FKOF, a brand and label project that continues to grow in both strength and popularity, flying the flag for dubstep worldwide. This latest project sees them invite in Kwizma for four original stormers, kicking off with the gnarly bass slaps and stripped back percussion of 'Mariana', followed by the super subtle steppers flavours of 'Sidewinder'. Next, 'Tananum' rolls into play with yet more incredibly precise drum processing, giving it a serious cool metallic edge, before we round up with the super spacey sub tones and haunted vocal sampling of 'The Mog'. Amazing stuff!

Review: Dub Sector have been running riot of late, and this latest compilation from them shows just how crazy it's been, as they bring us thirteen of their finest heaters from the last 12 months, all bundled together into one weighty batch. We hear some absolute dirt from heavyweight names such as Dalek One, Rez and The Widdler, along with some seriously naughty selections from the likes of Kwizma with his sub heavy 'Gravitation' original, and JWiRE's big room smasher 'Amen Ra'. For us, the steaming low end of Lory Kong's 'My House' renders it a serious highlight, along with the colourful bass synths of 'SpaceJail's 'Interstellar'.
