Review: With his debut EP on Watergate Records titled 'Let People Know,' Lehar solidifies his position as a beloved artist at the club's Thursdate residency. Known for his refined sound showcased on labels like Diynamic, Afterlife, Connaisseur Recordings, and Multinotes, the Italian producer doesn't disappoint with this release. The title track is a potent peak-time anthem, blending elements of electro, progressive, and house, enhanced by an uplifting vocal. 'Whispers' takes a dreamier approach, driven by a solid groove and captivating chords, creating a rich atmospheric experience. Rising artist Luke Alessi delivers a sleek remix with an injection of silky acid tech, while Mia Mendi returns with a subtle yet shimmering reimagining, ideal for warm-up sets and home listening.

Lehar & Filippo Nardini - "The 26th Beginning" (Lehar & Musumeci remix) - (7:11) 122 BPM
Review: Two years on from his last release, Lehar is finally ready to showcase some more music, this time via a label debut for Adana Twins' much-loved TAU imprint. The headline attraction is undoubtedly title track 'The 26th Beginning', a fine, full vocal collaboration with fellow Italian Filippo Nardini that wraps a laidback, bespoke (and surprisingly organic sounding) electro beat in warming bass, deep house sonics, dreamy chords and picturesque lead lines. Adana Twins deliver the obligatory high-profile remix, re-casting the track as a more emotive, effortlessly beautiful deep electro workout, before Lehar joins forces with Musumeci on an evocative tech-house take. Of the two bonus cuts, angular, hallucinatory and pleasingly percussive number 'Carnet De Voyage' is particularly impressive.

Review: Hamburg heroes Benjamin Busse, Friso Traas aka Adana Twins delivered the 25th installment in Berlin institution Watergate's esteemed mix series. The second EP released here features exclusive tracks from their riveting mix, included here are: Italian (and fellow Diynamic artist) Lehar getting hypnotically melodic on the sonic sorcery of "Blue Wolf", veteran German producer Acid Pauli going deeper in typically eloquent fashion on g"Geeting From Orgonon" and Sicily's Musumeci - fresh off great releases for Innervision and Bedrock - with the electro tinged progressive house of "Invaders" which is just sublime.

The White Diary EP
The Cave (feat Rush Midnight - original mix) - (6:37) 122 BPM
The White Diary (original mix) - (6:53) 120 BPM Hot
The Cave (Charles Webster's dub The First) - (7:36) 122 BPM
The Cave (Charles Webster's dub The Second) - (8:11) 122 BPM
The Cave (instrumental mix) - (6:39) 122 BPM
Review: Venetian DJ producer Lehar is quite the staple of tech house institutions of the moment, namely Hamburg's Diynamic and Offenbach's Connaisseur who again serve up another fine release from this rising star. On "The Cave" (feat Rush Midnight) he serves up a sombre and emotional journey track that's still pop inflected enough to get the crowd singing along to the words. "The White Diary" creates the same kind of dark dancefloor tension as Jonas Saalbach or Nuiton have done of late, but it's all about Nottingham deep house don Charles Webster's remixes, if you ask us! The first dub is the kind of emotive late night deepness that you've come to know him for, while his second dub version goes for some tripped out and woozy after-hours style that's equally worthy of your attention.

Lehar & Musumeci - "Azymuth" - (7:40) 122 BPM
Silky Raven & Solaris 100 - "Stars" - (6:43) 103 BPM
Review: Offenbach institution tech house Connaisseur now celebrates ten years in business; gosh how time flies! They are celebrating in style on this mini-compilation; part one in a series. Olderic & Peter Pardeike kick things off with the slinky, deep and downright dreamy "Connaisseur" and what a tribute this is! Next up Lenar & Musumeci continue on with the sleek and melodic grooves best served at the early evening on "Azymuth" and then Silky Raven & Solaris 100's "Stars" takes it on home in glorious fashion; this mesmerising slow burner builds continually creating such wonderful suspense.

Flora & Zephyr EP

Horizon (with Musumeci) - (6:22) 122 BPM
Flora - (5:16) 122 BPM
Played by: J Khobb
Review: Venice native Lehar continues his fine line of form for Germany's Connaisseur Records, a label that contains some of the most quality deep house and minimal-tech tunes on the continent, with four killers tailored to the dancefloor. "In Ipnosi", meaning 'in a state hypnosis', does exactly what it says and loops odd melodies around a sparse percussion, while "Zephyr" and "Horizon" enter more stable deep house territories, with the latter being a perfect set-ender thanks to its dubby melodies. "Flora" ties things off with a more swinging, more driving groove and hard-hitting percussion. A class act.

Mathame - "Hologram Child" (original mix) - (6:33) 122 BPM
Review: The fifth installment in this series sees German label Connaisseur compile some of the finest deep house in circulation. Thankfully, nothing here has that mushy sameness that has become so pervasive; instead artists like Timelapse, Distortion and Musumeci bring fragile, floaty melodies and chiming chords to their reduced rhythms and dubby grooves. Few Nolder and Lehar up the ante somewhat and the booming bass and cacophony of chilling strings on the latter's "Sarga" is a thing of wonder. Overall though, it's the reflective approach that impresses most; Sam K's "Elido", with its dreamy pattern of chords and vocal that swoons "I will build a castle with a tower high" is worth the price of this compilation alone

Sargas EP
XY (original mix) - (6:13) 116 BPM
Sargas (original mix) - (8:03) 120 BPM
Sargas (Mario Basanov remix) - (9:06) 120 BPM Hot
Review: Italian producer Lehar caused something of a stir online recently, after giving away his remix of Kollektiv Turmstrasse classic "Tristesse". Here he makes his debut on German deep house label Connaisseur. The Venice-based DJ/producer kicks things off with "XY", a shuffling, foreboding trip into woozy, delay-laden tech-house territory complete with subtle builds and horror-influenced chords. "Sargas" is equally as spooky, with ghostly textures and fear-ridden electronics riding an undulating late night groove. Longtime pal Mario Basanov provides the obligatory remix, turning "Sargas" into an inspired chunk of gently uplifting, melody-rich European deep house. It's almost the polar opposite of Lehar's original - in tone and texture - making for a striking revision.
