Review: It's got to the point with the Four40 team where we are genuinely more surprised if there isn't a new weekly drop from them, with their release catalogue being possibly the most regularly added to whilst also remaining the most consistent out there. This brand new two tracker from Lenny Barton unleashes a fabulous fusion between bass and garage music, with 'Look Into My Eyes' firstly stitching together sweeping sub bass manoeuvres with electronic vocal samples and minimal drums to give us fantastic results. On the flipside we jump into more of the same flavours as we take in Lenny's Mix of 'Watching You', a more drum heavy creation this time, providing us with pulsating rhythms and yet more of those potent basslines for good measure. We can't wait to hear both of these on a full system as soon as possible!
Review: To round off a very solid year of work from the Four40 Records team, we are very excited to see them unveil this powerful new two track drop from Lenny Barton, delivering some original UKG flavour in abundance. We begin with 'Sweet Sweet Love', which sees a classic Barrington Levy vocal reworked into a garage stomper, complete with high pressure bassline and big room drum beats to match. On the flip, we find ourselves diving down a much more tech influenced path as the intricate bass rolls and unusual metallic processing of 'The Only One' gives us a futuristic look at the garage sound. Two bangers to round off a fantastic year for Four40, what more could we ask for?
